Join me this morning as a virtual guest at one of England’s most breathtaking wedding venues. Blenheim Palace is an impressive world heritage site, and a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. It’s also the place where our stunningly beautiful bride & handsome groom decided to say their vows in front of their nearest and dearest.

Wearing an elegant Suzanne Neville bridal gown, Kate carried peonies, sweet peas & roses down the aisle to meet her handsome husband to be. The cherry blossom was out in full force providing the most breathtaking backdrop to an already beautiful day! Kate, the youngest of 3 sisters was supported by her siblings who were both maids of honour, and one of whom had traveled from Australia to be there for her sister.

Every element of this wedding is beautifully curated: the flowers are pure and simple, but fabulously blousy peony blooms. The cake is understated and elegant, with a touch of gold adding a luxe feel to the design. The venue is simply magnificent… and the photography divine.

Hello lovelies and happy Friday! I’m currently in Manchester prepping for (lunch) my calligraphy workshop tomorrow – it’s a sell out and I’m so excited! – but couldn’t leave English Wedding without a gorgeous feature for your Friday… and oh my, this wedding is special! Kate is more stunning than I have words for, in a beautiful Suzanne Neville gown. She tried on over 100 wedding dresses… and I’m so glad she found this divine design from Suzanne’s collection because it is breathtaking.

Let’s not forget the gorgeous groom – Jonathan’s black tie wedding look is just perfect: the tux is from Hugo Boss, with a bow tie from Tom Ford – I love this American wedding trend, which we’re seeing more and more in the UK these days. Oh, and before I forget – that opulent flower wall? Hired from Silks in Bloom. Isn’t it amazing?!

This is the scene inspiring Cooper Photography, and a marvellous collection of Hampshire Suppliers who together created this effortlessly stylish, laid back luxury editorial shoot. Stunning bride Jill & Luke were married at Carlowrie Castle last year in a beautiful wedding full of glamour. Their minimal, elegant styling is wonderful – and set to be a big trend for 2018 / 2019 weddings! Jill wore a stunning Suzanne Neville gown and Jimmy Choo shoes, and Luke and his groomsmen were in black tie.  Jill’s bridesmaids wore matching cowl back gold sequin dresses and also had a bridesman wearing his tux with a gold sequin bow tie.

Our wedding florist was recommended to us by Jen at Carlowrie Castle, who had used Vickys Flowers for her own wedding. We had pure white gypsophila with white roses for my own bouquet. Bridesmaids carried pure white gypsophila, Luke’s buttonhole was a white rose, and the groomsmen’s buttonholes were pure white gypsophila. The ceremony table had a pure white gypsophila arrangement, with white pillar boxes that had tall vases with pure white gypsophila.

Today’s featured wedding was a classic white wedding with the most beautiful church arch. A very relaxed elegant feel with lots of involvement from the family – and the prettiest florals you can imagine. I just love the archway covered in flowers and foliage by lovely Caroline, owner of Foxy Buds Floral Design – it makes the prettiest backdrop for photos and has a traditional feel to it which I think is wonderful.

The brief I gave my florist (Caroline at Foxy Buds) was “White with greenery presented in a natural/wild style.” And Foxy Buds completely delivered. I was really nervous before the big day because I had completely overdosed on Pintrest and Instagram and so I thought it would be impossible to bring that picture in my head to life. That nervousness was a complete waste of time – Caroline’s flowers were more beautiful that anything I had seen elsewhere. James and I constantly referred to the word “relaxed” when talking about what we wanted from our big day and that’s exactly the same feel I wanted (and got) from the flowers.

Something on top bridal designer Suzanne Neville‘s website caught my eye the other day – a little comment from lovely Suzanne herself that social media has inspired brides to be more adventurous. I love this! Browsing Instagram and Pinterest for unique wedding inspo – from designers all over the world – has changed us and is even inspiring those designers to create dresses which are more show-stopping than ever before!

I love it when a photoshoot like this sends me tumbling head over heels with a flower I never knew could be so lush, opulent and beautiful. Today’s feature is glamorous, brooding and alternative – and breathtaking. Huge thanks to lovely Grace Hill for sharing her dream with us today!

When you have a beautiful married couple and 800 carnation stems, what do you do? You throw on a styled wedding at Captains Wood Barn, of course!

Within three months, I managed to put together my first styled shoot, a dark romantic authentic vintage wedding, with some absolutely fabulous vendors, all relatively local to the area, in Colchester, Essex.

We decided that there would be no gypsophila, or light and airy style with big boho flower crowns – something which seems to be so in fashion at present. Instead, in came 800 gorgeous, punchy carnations in all hues of reds, purples, magentas and creams, a beautiful lace gown, vintage and reclaimed furniture, crockery and even jewellery, a venue situated within acres of picturesque Essex countryside, a horse called Roxy and a very much in love couple.

Morning lovelies! Would you care to join me for a little trip back in time, courtesy of lovely Lemontree Photography? We’re talking art deco wedding inspiration (with a wonderful modern twist) and fabulous gowns by Charlie Brear, Suzanne Neville and Chanticleer. This is all kinds of beautiful and I hope you love it too!

“It was important to us as suppliers to use modern elements that had a certain ‘feel’ for the 1920’s era. We wanted to avoid using vintage clothing and hair accessories, which were unlikely to be available for purchase. We literally wanted couples to stumble across the shoot and perhaps piece together what they loved from it, helping them create their own art deco wedding theme.

Dresses from Chanticleer, Charlie Brear and Suzanne Neville provided that unique touch of being modern, yet with a certain ‘feel’ for the 1920s. Brides of Winchester provided the beautiful wedding gowns for the shoot.

I have a little treat for you this Sunday morning… so stay snuggled up with a cuppa and enjoy this pretty country garden celebration from Eastclose Hotel in the New Forest – the flowers are gorgeous, and Kerrie-Ann is breathtaking in her Suzanne Neville gown from Brides of Winchester.

Images are by Jake Moore Photography, who told me “having been to school with Kerrie-Ann it made it so much easier for me to shoot her day plus go more unnoticed than usual as a photographer. I felt more like a guest than at work! The venue is perfect for weddings and each time I go there it gets better with more detail added. The weather always helps as the grounds are too beautiful to miss out on a wedding day.”

Lovely Hayley from Brides of Winchester loves Suzanne Neville’s designs: “Kerrie-Ann looks ah-mazzing in Willow by Suzanne Neville, a stunning corded lace fishtail with beautiful buttons down the back, which she teamed to perfection with a sparkly cathedral length Helen Martin veil and Ivory and Co headpiece.”

Trust in your own personal style, and I promise your wedding will come together and look amazing on the day. Laura and Arash did – they chose accessories and decor they liked rather than concentrating on a particular theme for their Bristol wedding, and the result is wonderfully chic, elegant and understated.

This is bliss. A modern wedding with a focus on family and “having a really good party” – oh boy, didn’t they just! Suppliers were found online and through personal recommendations, and money was saved by skipping chair covers and favours on the day.

Laura is gorgeous; Arash is super handsome. Together they’re a knockout couple with the best modern style and the loveliest of outlooks on life! Laura told me they still talk about the wedding and have the best memories. “We just enjoyed having a big celebration with all of our friends and family.”

Sam and Bryony’s Somerset wedding is divine: beautifully but simply and tastefully styled so it will always look timeless and magical. There are secrets to the styling and design which reading the English Wedding Blog interview will help to answer: Bryony shares her best tips on finding suppliers, budgeting and enjoying every second of your day. She’s fabulous…

I love how Bryony talks about “a feeling all day long that you wish you could put in a bottle and keep“! I can only imagine how amazing this day was… and I can tell from the images that every second was cherished. Truly a day to remember forever!

Bryony looks stunning in her Suzanne Neville dress, which she accessorised prettily with handmade earrings and a diamond bracelet. Sam totally looks the part in Austin Reed tails and a shirt from TM Lewin – aren’t they just the most gorgeous couple?

Hello there beautiful! I hope you’re having the loveliest week already – and I have something fabulous to help inspire your day: we’re talking opulence and elegance on the English Wedding Blog this morning.

Today’s stately home wedding shoot takes us to the magnificent Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. There are designer dresses by Jenny Packham, Sassi Holford and Suzanne Neville, antique furniture and exquisite stationery to inspire those of you planning a stately home wedding – we’re talking lush, big budget styles with a classic flavour.

Styling a stately home wedding is all about working with the venue to create a gorgeous overall look. In today’s shoot Kelly (The Bespoke Wedding Company) did it with flowers, stationery and delicious accessories to complement the elegant surroundings of The White Room, Waddesdon’s newest wedding location.

Whatever your wedding budget, styling and decor can be scaled to fit your pocket: one thing I love about this shoot is its flexibility: Kelly has created floral displays at the end of the aisle, as centrepieces in tall displays and as scaled-down table arrangements with mercury glass. Choose whichever fits your budget best, and your stately home wedding will look beautiful, I promise!
