Today’s wedding is blissfully beautiful, classic in style and with a sophisticated wintry look. The styling is elegant and light, using silver and grey – the bridesmaids’ dark dresses are fabulous. And I’ve totally fallen for Izzy and Tom – they look so wonderfully happy together, not to mention absolutely gorgeous! Izzy’s dress is a showstopper: her smile is infectious. You’ll love these two! The stunning venue is De Vere Tortworth Court, which is captured so beautifully in Bristol wedding photographer Martin Dabek‘s inimitable signature style.
Today’s wedding sings of summer. If you’re missing those long, chilled out evenings and glorious rays then you’ll adore today’s summery celebrations! Let me introduce you to gorgeous bride and groom Verity and Adam, whose July wedding in Somerset is as perfect as can be – from the little details through to the amazing atmosphere of love and laughter captured so beautifully by our friend Warren at Howell Jones Photography.

We had a skype interview with a couple of different photographers but we loved Warren’s style of photography and his relaxed approach.
We had an engagement shoot in Oxford in the autumn and it was great for us to all get to know each other a bit before the big day. It was important to us for the photographer not to feel like a stranger on the day so we could be comfortable and not awkward in front of the camera.

Morning everyone! These two are the most adorable couple – and with an effortlessly beautiful style I adore. Kate’s Pronovias dress – the detail on Jack’s M&S suit – the bouquet, OH the bouquet!! Their day has everything, it’s gorgeous and magical and everything a wedding should be, from the ceremony at St Marks Church in Dunham Massey to the celebrations in the village hall afterwards. There are fabulous photos here to make you swoon, giggle and cry happy tears all at once. Huge thank yous to lovely Jess Yarwood Photography for sharing her images of this stunning September wedding, and massive congrats to gorgeous bride and groom Kate and Jack for being so damn amazing. LOVE this!!
Our wedding was a day of love, fun and our favorite people. The style was ‘Country chic’ (more country, less chic!). We wanted to minimize waste so beg, stole and borrowed all the flowers and foliage from our families’ gardens we could convince them not to prune over the summer. The table decorations were mostly donated from friends, including logs from felled trees and a stump heroically carried home by Jack after a long walk, or sourced from second hand stores and websites.
Hey there beautiful! Aren’t you so glad it’s the weekend? Emily and Boon’s Winchester College wedding is breathtaking, with pops of colour from the loveliest florals in this magnificent venue. Visit the Hampshire Wedding Club’s journal to see all their images by Cooper Photography, the bride’s dress from Pronovias and flowers by Jenni Bloom. Sam Sham did Emily’s beautiful wedding makeup.
Happy Friday folks! Ah… how on earth is it the end of the week already?! We’ve had the most amazing week of wedding inspiration on the blog, and I have so much planned to share with you over the weekend and next week too! But first – I like to share something really beautiful every Friday: as work is winding down we can all afford a little longer for lunch, right? So today we’re sharing Alexandra and Hugo’s marquee wedding with tons of handmade touches (beautiful bride Alexandra bought and arranged ALL the flowers, as well as making the stationery!) and gorgeous styling.
“I arranged the bouquets, head garlands, button holes and marquee flowers along with friends and family helping with the church and flower arch. My bouquet was peonies – my absolute favourite with some eucalyptus. The bridesmaids had bouquets made up of lizzianthus and gypsophillia and the marquee flowers were roses and gypsophillia with the flower arch being a mix of all flowers used. When hiring a marquee you then have to do all decoration yourself so the days before the wedding no waking minute was wasted turning it into our dream venue! Plenty of flowers and bunting was used to achieve this. We had a traditional marquee with poles which we wrapped ivy around.
Happy Wednesday folks! Have you read the English Wedding Bible yet? Our article “why don’t men like weddings” is making me super aware of giving grooms a starring role in the weddings I share on the blog – how am I doing? Of course, handsome grooms like Charlie make it easy 🙂 And Vicky is just breathtakingly beautiful, don’t you think? Today’s wedding is as gorgeous as it is exciting. I adore the elegant and rustic styling, and I love the ideas Vicky and Charlie came up with – “wedding day TV” starring guest interviews, plus the groomsmen’s boy band montage… it sounds so funny and memorable for all the right reasons!
Photos are by lovely Sarah Ann Weddings, a laid back and fun wedding photographer based in London. Sarah travels all over the UK shooting weddings for couples who want a relaxed, natural and fun wedding day. She describes herself as a mini ninja with a camera harness… and we think she’s brilliant. These two are more than a little bit gorgeous, don’t you think? Chloe looks amaaaazing – and Marc’s black bowtie is a perfectly elegant look for a classic summer wedding. The venue is Kingston Estate – a magnificent Georgian mansion set in the heart of south Devon. Images are by lovely Sam Box Photography.
We tried to keep everything as classic as possible, white flowers with lots of greenery, black tie for the boys and a pale grey sequinned for the bridesmaids. I am slightly obsessed with everything Michelle Keegan .. so her wedding was massive inspiration for me!! I loved the glamour that they had but still kept it minialistic and classy! I mostly used the internet to look for different things for the wedding, usually after I had trawled Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration!
Hey there beautiful! How is your Tuesday morning going? Fancy a little weddingness to improve your day? I have the most stunning Surrey wedding to share with you this morning. You’re welcome… 😉
It’s Katy and Luke’s turn to be stars of the English Wedding Blog this morning, with their wonderfully colourful June wedding – it’s almost a year to the day since they were married so happy anniversary Katy & Luke!!
I love the playfully elegant style of their day: the wonderful flowers and pretty styling touches make this Nonsuch Mansion wedding a favourite for me. Luke is such a handsome groom and Katy is so incredibly beautiful, isn’t she?
Images are by the fabulous Matthew Bishop Photography. Matt is amazing so do check his wedding photography out here:

Hello lovely! I have a beautiful Kent wedding to share with you this morning – it’s sunny and warm and I’m happy to be starting the day on a high with such a glorious celebration at Preston Court with gorgeous bride Claudia and her new hubby Peter.
They describe their summer wedding as a vintage garden party, and it’s that and so much more: with a charming sense of grace and style and a bouquet I just adore. There are paper poms everywhere, the cake is exquisite, and oh did I forget to mention the carousel?!
Huge thanks to Claudia and Peter for the lovely wedding report. Thanks also to fab wedding photographer Andrew of Howling Basset Photography – you can find out more about him here:
So without further procrastination from me, here’s one of the loveliest Kent weddings – and one of the most gorgeous and madly-in-love couples – I’ve seen this year. Enjoy.

Hello! Did anyone see June coming?! No? Me neither… I’m still on May! But it’s officially summer and wedding season is in full swing – so let’s begin the week with one of the loveliest weddings I’ve seen: Roseanne and Darren at Cripps Barn.
The gorgeous couple didn’t focus on a colour scheme but as their plans developed they chose details in soft blues and greens. The wedding stands out for the spectacular floral decorations – Roseanne’s bouquet is amazing and the ceremony flowers are fabulous.
Images of their day are by Leeds Wedding Photographer John Hope – a wedding blog favourite who comes very highly recommended!
I hope you love their wedding as much as I do – it’s wonderful and full of ideas. My top tip inspired by today’s couple? Choose a focal point: whether it’s flowers, accessories or stationery and turn that focal point into a real statement to give your wedding a real wow factor. Enjoy!
Fearless Bridal with London wedding photographer Yolande De Vries
Fearless Bridal means you get to have a great time doing whatever the hell you like in your wedding dress – but definitely not drinking champagne and eating canapes on a perfectly maintained lawn!
London wedding photographer Yolande De Vries describes Fearless Bridal as “one of my secret guilty pleasures… it is the perfect opportunity for a bride to wear her wedding dress again and have a fun and individual photography session in a location and setting that contrasts her wedding day.”
Why choose Fearless Bridal?
The star of this particular Fearless Bridal shoot is wedding photographer Anneli Marinovich, who says “I always knew I wanted to wear my wedding dress again after our wedding day, so when Yolande (dear friend and fabulous photographer) suggested a Fearless Bridal Shoot late last year I instantly knew that it would be very different from the setting we had for our very pretty seaside wedding in Cape Town.
Wedding photographer Marshal Gray is a wedding photographer too cool for school, with a wonderfully artistic approach and a fantastic blog. Real name Gary Marshal, I’m sure I’ve called him Marshal more than once since we first chatted online a year or so ago. He’s a lovely guy, and the perfect choice for Louisa and Andrew.
This wonderful couple were married at Surrey’s Northbrook Park last summer. The sun shone, the day went swingingly and there are some beautiful images of the bride and groom here for you to enjoy. My favourites are the look they exchange, holding hands when they’ve put the wedding rings on – and the bit where Louisa gets to try on lots of shoes… Cinderella style! I’ll leave you to see that one for yourself!
Louisa very kindly emailed her wedding story for English Wedding blog, and her own favourite memory of the day is really touching. I’ll leave you with Louisa’s words and wedding photography by Marshal Gray. Enjoy!
