It’s ALL about the florals today – gorgeous bride Katie and hubby Paul married in the summertime and chose all the glorious garden flowers – the stars are bright pink peonies, which nestle beautifully alongside roses and delphiniums, thistles and oodles of delicate greenery. We knew we wanted a relaxed venue preferably in a barn so did a lot of googling. As soon as we visited Micklefield Hall we were blown away by the setting and how beautiful it was so knew it was the right place for our wedding.
Although today’s wedding starts with a church service, the vibe is wonderfully whimsical and woodlandy, with celebrations under canvas and even a hand fasting ceremony in the afternoon! The venue is Bedfordshire’s enchanting Tofte Manor; the photographer is our lovely friend and English Wedding member Nicola Norton Photography.
Gorgeous couple Georgina and Ben had a relaxed and beautiful wedding in the summer. Their day is beautifully styled with glorious bouquets of pink peonies, purple and coral blooms with splashes of greenery and fabulous textures. The peony styling continues through to the wedding cake, which is displayed prettily on rustic wooden tables at the wedding breakfast. Georgina’s stunning lace dress is the star of the show, and her delicate flower crown is just beautiful!
They say weddings are all about the love, the romance, the emotions and moments… and then someone shows me THESE BALLOONS and suddenly weddings are all about that instead!! Am I wrong? But aren’t they fun and pretty and brilliant? I’m absolutely thrilled to be sharing today’s wedding because – [balloons, obviously?] – it’s a real family affair, with the little ones even helping to make the wedding favours! The venue is London Shenley Club (Hertfordshire). Morning lovelies! Are you feeling a little chill in the air today? Autumn is coming… and here on English Wedding we’re racing ahead and bringing you a ski and snowboarding themed wedding! Gorgeous bride Hayley and Matt describe their day as a ‘family celebration après ski party’ – inspired by how they met. 7 years ago, these two were working for a ski company in France, where they met. 5 years later, this is where Matt proposed (on a surprise holiday back to Les Gets). The ski resort theme continued at their DIY wedding in Bedford, with multi-coloured hats and sunglasses as favours, welcome cocktails – even the Save the Dates and invitations were designed as lift passes!
