Hi, I’m Nicola, a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer. I live in Ampthill with my husband and two young boys, Harry and Vinnie. I consider myself very lucky to have this job, where I get to do what I love, but also spend lots of time with my family and be there when my children get home from school, so am fortunate to have the best of both worlds.

I think my friends and family would describe me as very happy and fun loving, a bit crazy, but also very caring – I am a ‘wear my heart on my sleeve’ kind of girl. (I still think I am young enough to describe myself as a girl ;))

I have always had a passion for photography. I got my first camera – (a pink Le Clic camera with a film in it) when I was ten years old – I remember being so excited to get my films back of photos that I took, days of anticipation, and I still have those pictures now somewhere!!

?Since then I have obviously had many many cameras, to this date I don’t remember how many, but my kit is now is amazing and I get to use to capture some of the most precious memories of the lovely couples that choose to book me to take their wedding photos.

Every wedding is unique, some people have lots of ideas while others leave the job entirely up to me and I’m happy with either. I love to meet my couples to discuss their weddings, styling, details and anything else.

?I would describe my photography as relaxed, natural, documentary wedding photography, and when it comes to the big day, I like to fade into the background, which allows me to capture those candid moments. I also like to make sure I don’t steal away the bride and groom for too long for their couple photos or make guests wait around for too long, waiting to have their group pictures taken – it is your day for you to relax and enjoy!
