I’m a big fan – and I’m delighted to be able to share some fabulous images with you today which I think will show you exactly why I think Howell Jones Photography should be on your wedding photographer shortlist – wherever you are in the country!
Hey there, beautiful! May I interrupt your Tuesday with something all kinds of brilliant which could quite easily save you a bundle of time and energy planning your best day ever? If you’re in Hampshire (or Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey or Sussex) you will ESPECIALLY love this. The Hampshire Wedding Club is a place you can go, online and in person, to find all your wedding suppliers and get everything you need to plan your big day. It’s new, it’s hugely exciting for the wedding industry and I’m excited to see more from these lovely people! I’m even more thrilled to announce that The Hampshire Wedding Club is joining English Wedding as our newest sponsor – so we’ll be sharing much more from them in the coming months! I’ll let lovely Tasha, who is the founder of the Hampshire Wedding Club, tell you all about it.
“At the Hampshire Wedding Club we apply 10 years of industry experience to a new, exciting concept. We are very proud to support unique, extraordinary wedding specialists across our county.
Hey lovelies, how are you today? Is it just me or is there something a little exciting in the air? It’s the end of term… summer holidays, and around this time of year I still look forward to 6 fabulous weeks of playing in the sunshine! Oh, also – wedding season!!! Most of you will be getting married in the summertime, so now’s the time to go explore your venues, see which flowers are in bloom, take a picnic and dream of your best day ever – which will be here before you know it! And if you just happen to be in Devon, and you just happen to be looking for a brilliant Devon wedding photographer… then I would like to introduce you to someone I think is pretty damn amazing.
Happy Wednesday you lovely people! I’m happy to be introducing another new member of the English Wedding team today. Super talented Buckinghamshire wedding photographer Damion Mower joins us and will be sharing some of his beautiful weddings on the blog in the coming months. We first featured Damion’s images when we shared gorgeous Malin and Simon’s Swallows Oast wedding on the blog last month – they left such a glowing review for Damion, and I personally loved how his shots captured the story of their day. So – brilliant news – there’ll be more where that came from and I’d love for you to take a couple of minutes and scroll through some of Damion’s very best shots. Stop and look, and you’ll smile, feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and perhaps even giggle (those heels are high for such a cute little guy!) I’ll hand over to Damion to introduce himself…
Hello, I’m Damion, a Buckinghamshire wedding photographer, capturing documentary style weddings across Buckinghamshire and South East England.
For a wedding photograph to catch my eye, it has to make me feel something. Whether that’s a warm fuzzy feeling or a sense of excitement and anticipation will depend on the image. Sometimes I find myself smiling at the screen before me, or lifting my hand away from the screen and stopping in my tracks as I scroll – because I want to take it all in. I have always had a little motto when choosing images for the English Wedding Blog – “never delete a grandma” – this is why.
Clive Blair is a Birmingham wedding photographer whose images all have that something that stops me in my tracks and makes me feel something. Just look at the selection we’ve chosen to share with you today, and you’ll see what I mean. Because after the big day it’s not about the styling or florals anymore: your dress and suit will be packed away; stationery forgotten and cake all gone – but the memories held in your images will last a lifetime and more.
I have a question for you – do think for a second about this! When you’re scrolling through your favourite wedding blogs and magazines, do you ever stop and smile at an image which makes you laugh? Or see a wedding photo which brings a tear to your eye? Or are the photos you remember seeing on wedding blogs pretty much all about the ideas, styling and the look of weddings? The thing is, I suspect the wedding media are guilty of sharing 90% styling ideas and 10% heartwarming, emotional moments. Which is a shame, because when it comes to your own wedding, the photos should be all about those moments, right? Meet our newest blog sponsor This is Reportage, who are going to show us all what’s important in the long run…
This is Reportage (www.thisisreportage.com) is unique in that it is a directory of wedding photographers specifically – and exclusively – focusing (excuse the camera pun!) on the real moment capturing of weddings; the extreme skill and artistry in documentary wedding photography.
Hey everyone! I hope you’re all staying safe and warm through this ridiculously cold spell! We have no snow here on the Cumbrian coast – in fact it’s been lovely and sunny since Friday – but omg is it cold on the beach! So I’m staying in, snuggling into my slippers and hot chocolate and happy to be sharing some extra special blog features with you all in the run up to Christmas. Today’s is no exception… did you see our list of 15 favourite UK wedding planners published yesterday? If you did, you’ll have spotted our lovely friend Helen from Pudding Bridge. Helen’s not only a multi-award winning planner, she’s also written some advice features for the blog over the last few months and we’re thrilled to have her joining our little team of sponsors today.
Pudding Bridge is owned by Helen Hopkins and is a multi-award winning Wedding Planning company based in Bristol. Specialising in elegant country house weddings, I am passionate about organising epic extended celebrations.
Weekends are for dancing, singing your heart out and letting your hair down. I’ll be enjoying the sunshine this weekend and I hope you will too – and if there’s one wedding planning job which you can enjoy doing while the sun shines and you’re chilling with a prosecco in the sunshine, it’s going online and finding your perfect wedding entertainment.

I’m so happy and excited to be welcoming another brilliant wedding photographer to my little team of handpicked sponsors on the blog today. Last summer I featured a stunning Somerset wedding sent in by lovely Martin Dabek Photography – the images still take my breath away today! It was the first of many weddings I’m looking forward to sharing on the English Wedding Blog, with Martin’s help, over the coming months.
Somerset wedding photographer Martin Dabek Photography photographs weddings all over England as well as abroad. Please join me in welcoming a super talented photographer and all round brilliant person (check the reviews on his Facebook page!!) to the English Wedding Blog!
“Hello, I’m Martin, a wedding photographer based in Somerset.
I’ve been capturing incredible memories for my couples since 2009, so far it’s been an amazing journey.
The first wedding I photographed was in Mexico for some friends of mine and since then I have photographed over 250 weddings in the UK and abroad.
I’m so thrilled to be welcoming someone to the English Wedding Blog today who I know you’ll love. Cambridge wedding photographer Lee Allison loves his work and it truly shows in his images. Do check out his blog for some beautiful recent weddings – I’ve included some favourite images here for you too. 🙂
You’ll see Lee’s image on every page of the blog from today (to the right—->) and I’m really excited to tell you that Lee and I already have a couple of gorgeous real weddings up our sleeves for you in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to share them with you!
“I’m Lee, a wedding photographer based in Cambridge and you won’t be surprised to hear I love weddings. Every wedding is unique, and it’s always great to see the couple’s personalities shine through on the day.
I love to shoot natural, fun and creative images. I document your day as it unfolds, with very little direction or posing, meaning my photos capture you at your very best, relaxed and happy.
You must have heard of my lovely friend Sheryl at Oobaloos Photography. She’s written great articles for the English Wedding Blog, and had her real weddings featured on our pretty pages many times! A passionate, hardworking and talented reportage photographer from Gloucestershire who shoots weddings all around the south west, Sheryl is a wonderful new addition to my team of handpicked sponsors. I’m thrilled to welcome her, and excited to introduce her to any of you who haven’t seen her beautiful images before today.

“Wedding Photography is my passion. I also really love purple and want it to be the Pantone colour of the year soon!
My style is unobtrusive reportage for most of the day and I pride myself on nipping through the formal group photos quickly and efficiently, leaving the rest of your wedding to unfold naturally.
Do you and your fiancé have different musical tastes – and maybe, different ideas for the music you’d like to have at your wedding? I’ve been to weddings this year where church music was the most important thing of all; where the soundtrack was reeeeally alternative; and one where everyone wandered off as the DJ came on. (Yikes!) So how do you get it right? How do you ensure you have that amazing party atmosphere as the sun sets, and all of your friends and family have a brilliant, fun night at your wedding?
I’m happy to be introducing you to Bands For Hire today. These guys list their acts by genre, so if you’d like a classical musician to play while you walk down the aisle; a swing band as your backdrop for afternoon drinks and then a full-on festival style party with guitar bands all evening – these guys can help.
