Wedding inspiration at its finest – this morning we’re bringing you all the loveliest pale pinks, peaches and romantic wedding styling. This enchanting editorial shoot captures the old world glamour of a stunning Southampton venue with deliciously modern elements. It’s an absolute beauty to stop your scrolling in its tracks!

With lovely Jennifer Jane Photography and a super talented team of local wedding suppliers (list below). Enjoy!

The shoot took place at a beautiful new wedding venue situated overlooking Southampton’s Royal Pier – The Bugle. Having been abandoned for 11 years, before when it was The Royal Southern Yacht Club, the Victorian townhouse has been fully renovated from head to toe and given a new lease of life. With a real fusion of old-world elegance and playful modern décor.

The concept of the shoot was to combine the old world glamour of the venue with a luxurious, modern romantic feel.

The florals and colour palette were soft and  romantic, combining  pale pinks, peaches and white, to create a very classically charming tablescape design. Similarly to the venue, the tablescape was timelessly beautiful, but with modern elements, such as the use of twisted taper candles.

The flowers were tall and elegant with a modern unstructured look. The cake was a classic white iced-tiered cake, with uneven tiers and wild florals for a modern edge.

In keeping with the rest of the design, the models had a super glamorous but very feminine look.  The bridal gown was a Jane Hill design, the epitome of luxury contemporary bridal. Featuring a strapless boned bodice with a sweetheart neckline, layering around the bust, gorgeous delicate buttons down the back of the dress and a full skirt with a high-leg slit, and oozes glamour and class.

Glamorous Hollywood curls and makeup were chosen to fit with the overall luxury feel, with gold jewellery to compliment the warm, lavish golds used in the table design. The groom wore a classic tux.

Wedding photographer review

What can I say, Rachel is wonderful. First and foremost, she captured the most amazing photographs of our wedding day. She is attentive, flexible and supportive. The week leading up to our wedding was not plain sailing, but she was so professional and nothing phased her, making us feel so comfortable. We got some great candid and posed photographs and she captured all the details of the day. From getting ready to guests arriving, the ceremony and down to the stationary and decorations.

Your best moment or memory

It was a joy for us to share this experience with our daughter Mabel. She walked down the aisle with Sarah and it was a very special moment.

Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)

My brother walked me down the aisle alongside my daughter Mabel.

Videographer name + review

Land of Wonder. The guys from Land of Wonder were fun and enthusiastic. They have created a very special video for us which we will enjoy as a family as our children grow.

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!

Stuart – classic blue suit. I had a charm on the inside of my blazer jacket with a picture of Mabel. I had a coral, woven tie and socks to match. Sarah – Off the shoulder mikado style dress with gorgeous Pearl veil. Paired with pale blue shoes, my late nanny’s opals (borrowed from my mum) and a beautiful headpiece from White Design Bridal. I also carried a pendant with photographs of my dad and nanny on my bouquet to be with me during the day.

Dress or suit shop name + review

Moss Bros for suits. They sorted a big order for us at short notice. Hannah Elizabeth Bridal. Fantastic service, they listened to what style I was going for and picked out a dress that matched my vision perfectly.

Florist name + review

Hampshire Florist. All the flowers were beautiful. We chose colours to compliment the beauty of the Clock Barn venue.

Cake maker name + review

Suzy Blake. We had a coffee and walnut and a lemon cake. Both were stunning. We also had a selection of macarons around the cake.

Stationery maker’s name + review

Sarah!

Any crafty projects or homemade styling touches?

Sarah designed the invites and created them from scratch. They were in the style of passports as we both have jobs in travel. Sarah also made the seating plan, ‘no phones’ sign and order of service.

Wedding readings?

Debbie (Sarah’s mum) read a poem.

NW Makeup. Great hair and makeup artists. Kelly managed to hide a weeks worth of sickness and stress from my face on the wedding day!!

So this wedding is a bit special, all kinds of adorable (cue snoozy Woody) and absolutely authentic and beautiful. This kind of day makes me ADORE being a wedding blogger. I do hope you love it too! Meet stunning couple Viki and Jeff, with photos by lovely Alexa Poppe Photography.

“Woody our Fox Red Lab was the ring bearer.. although he fell asleep during the ceremony and didn’t perform his duty!

We got married at Treseren, like the photographer, we were planning the wedding during COVID and therefore, all of our research was online. We wanted somewhere that could accommodate a small wedding but would still feel very special. Treseren was just perfect, we were able to spend a long weekend with our family, in the most beautiful setting and get married at the same time.”

How did you choose your photographer?

We did our research online and fell in love with her style of photography.

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!

We honestly couldn’t have wished for better pictures. We had a small intimate wedding, and Alexa captured the day and all the emotions perfectly.

What’s your fondest memory of your wedding?

Sharing the day with our closest family, in the most beautiful setting.

Did you love wearing your outfits? How was your shopping experience, was it fun to find your wedding gear?

We found the process easier than expected, we chose Jeff’s suit together and just happened to find one that matched what we wanted from the designer he liked. The wedding dress was found in the 2nd shop Viki visited.

Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness

Yes, we used Brookside Flower Farm for our flowers. Again we did our research online. Kate was great in taking our ideas and making them a reality. We had a beautiful flower arch on the lawn which we got married under.

As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?

Our cake was made by The Cornish Cakery. Sarah was a recommended supplier of Treseren and we were not disappointed. She sent samples through the post so we could pick our preferred flavor and created exactly what we asked for.

Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves

We filled the room we ate our wedding breakfast in with pictures of us throughout our relationship.

Did you have any wedding readings? What were they?

Yes we had 2 readings. Viki’s 6 year old daughter read ‘Your Fairy Tale Wedding’ and Viki’s Mum read ‘The Bridge Across Forever’ By Richard Bach

What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?

Ellie Goulding- How long will I love you

We just listened to the words, and fell in love with it.
