Today’s wedding is an elegant and classy affair; mixing traditional styling with a modern twist at one al styling with a modern twist at one of Yorkshire’s favourite wedding venues:  The Mansion at Leeds Roundhay Park. Gorgeous couple Kat and Vincent were lucky to have a beautiful summer’s day for their wedding, and really made the most of the grounds of the park for their wedding photos.

Images are by York wedding photographer Amy Jordison, who gets a glowing review from the couple in their English Wedding Interview below! Watch out for a stunning Essense of Australia dress (from Ava Rose Hamilton), fabulous florals by NC Floral Designs and that wonderful cake from Zoe’s Fancy Cakes.

We posted a request for photographers on Bidvine.com. Of those that came back, we met those that seemed a good fit and then made a final decision based on various factors like portfolio, experience, location and rapport – the latter being important because they needed to be able to get on not just with us, but all the guests they’d be having to wrangle on the day.

It’s almost the weekend and we have another gorgeous wedding to share with you – this time, sent in by my lovely friends at The Little Paper Shop in Cheshire! I can’t introduce this blog post without plugging my modern calligraphy classes at this gorgeous wedding & paper boutique – it’s in Nantwich, and I’ll be there on the 7th of September for beginners modern calligraphy and brush pen lettering workshops – come and join me if you can!

Now as well as being the creative whirlwind and owner of The Little Paper Shop, Cara is a talented wedding photographer. She captured Liz and Andrew’s Shropshire wedding for them, and I’m thrilled to be sharing it with you today!

Liz is just beautiful in her Essense of Australia wedding gown, which she found at Shropshire Country Brides. Despite a few dress wobbles in the run up to the wedding, Liz stuck with her choice and we LOVE how beautifully this dress works on her – it was meant to be for this stunning bride!

Welcome to the weekend! And OMG – to June! And roll on summertime… I can’t wait for lazy sunny evenings and beach sunsets 🙂 Today I have a stunning late summer wedding to share with you. Gorgeous couple Rachel and Ben had a very relaxed, informal, vintage-inspired day with a party vibe for the evening party. The wedding breakfast was loosely based on Alice in Wonderland, complete with mismatched crockery and vintage cake stands with styling touches in dusky pinks and mauve.

Rachel’s dress is stunning – the perfect princess style and it suits her perfectly! She told me she tried on 8 dresses before falling in love with this Essense of Australia gown from Ava Rose Hamilton. The guys – including Ben and their 7 year old son – wore lovely 3 piece Marc Darcy suits. Ben’s tie and pocket square were champagne coloured to match Rachel’s dress.

A very warm welcome to English Wedding – especially if you’re just engaged!!! Congratulations, and I hope you LOVE the world of wedding blogs. I’m Claire, I write English Wedding along with all of the brides and grooms whose weddings we feature, and the photographers, stylists and wedding creatives who work so hard to bring you new styling and wedding planning ideas. Over Christmas I’m looking back through our favourite weddings from 2018, and today it’s the turn of gorgeous Rosie & Steve, whose woodland wedding at Rhinefield House in Hampshire is as magical as it is beautiful. Their photos are by lovely Gemma at Romy Lawrence Photography, Rosie’s dress is by Essense of Australia and Steve’s suit is from Hugo Boss.

Check out some more from our favourite weddings collection this Christmas – so far we’ve featured James & Keye’s festival wedding, Tig & Piers’ glamorous celebration, and Daisy & Will’s family-focused wedding. Enjoy!

Hey lovelies! How is all of your wedding planning going? Have you discovered Pinterest yet? One of my New Year resolutions was to pin more… I’m not sure I’m keeping up with my ambitions but I do so love Pinterest when I find time to visit – come & follow the English Wedding Blog’s boards here. And do, if you have a sec, pin some ideas from today’s fabulously creative wedding!! Nikki and Dan’s wedding is fab for its stationery which runs through the day and makes a real feature. I love the chalkboard table names, table plan and menus – the stationery (from Norma & Dorothy) ties the whole day together in such a lovely way!

Nikki and Dan were both buzzing with excitement- you could just see it radiating from Nikki. She truly was the definition of a beaming bride, I’m not sure I can find a moment that we photographed when she wasn’t giggling and smiling. Their friends and family were equally happy, it was a pleasure to be part of such a fun and romantic day.

Today’s wedding blog is all about the romance – with wonderfully decadent and pretty peony bouquets in the fabulous setting of Froyle Park.

The styling elements come together beautifully to create a soft, romantic French theme: with soft pastel colours and a pink pop from peonies in the florals. The dress is divine; hair and make up is soft and romantic. There are DIY elements – the table plan was made from charity shop frames and looks fab! And I adore the stationery by Hip Hip Hooray. The shoot was curated by Lyn from Lily Marie wedding and event planning, and she has written a little about her inspiration for the day.

My first experience of Froyle Park was driving past one evening; and glancing up the stunning, beautifully lit lavender and tree lined driveway, which reminded me of places I had visited holidaying in France; such a romantic setting.

So I jumped at the chance of organising a shoot here when approached by make-up Artist Natasha Wiggins and photographer Graham Nixon.
