In these crazy, scary times, we’re doing everything we possibly can to keep your screens full of beautiful wedding ideas, and to help support all of the wedding photographers and other UK wedding suppliers to shine online and fill their diaries for 2021 and beyond. While weddings are going to be thin on the ground this summer, we’re really keen to share YOUR best bits from 2019 – so whether you’re a wedding stylist with a shoot to share, or a photographer with a real wedding you’d like us to blog, please get in touch!

I’ve always been a solution kind of girl. Perhaps that was the hardest thing when coronavirus really hit the UK back in March: it was an unsolvable thing, 100% out of my control. At first I felt like crawling into a hole until it was all over. I panicked, I cried, I felt numb and scared. I know we’re all going through our own rollercoasters of emotion, and you are absolutely not alone. I have a wedding calligraphy business as well as this blog – and closing it was a really scary thing to do.

This one’s for all the wedding photographers, stylists, and creative suppliers out there! I’ve had so many beautiful submissions lately, and I’m really happy to have had submissions from photographers who’ve told me it’s their first time submitting to a wedding blog, or that they’ve never been featured before. Which absolutely makes my world go around!

At this time of year we get sooo many submissions, and some I’ve had to politely decline… but I always try to give a reason when I do. So I figured, perhaps it would be helpful to share some tips to help you get featured on English Wedding, and hopefully after that on other top wedding blogs as well!

The English Wedding Directory is our curated list of brilliant wedding vendors. Our Insta and Facebook are updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!

These lovely people have joined the English Wedding Directory in the last couple of weeks – and we have more coming up to share with you soon! Do take a moment to discover them, and if you like what you see why not get in touch and even book this weekend?

Where on earth should a wedding business spend their advertising pennies in such a busy market? Good old magazines, whose printed pages stick around for a while (but cost a fortune)? Or Facebook ads, Instagram promotions… Perhaps wedding fairs are more your thing – but if you’re shy when it comes to meeting people and ‘selling’ your brand face to face, I totally get that because I’m like that too. For me, wedding blog advertising is the answer. It’s worked for me for the last eight years – and I’m very happy to say the English Wedding Blog now has two options for advertisers to join our little team.
