My inspiration behind this shoot was to showcase a fusion Anglo-Indian wedding with a traditional English civil wedding style, alongside incorporating Indian cultural elements into the design.

Today’s gorgeous pair were wed in the heart of the Lakes, and got some incredible and dramatic photos to remember their day by, despite the usual Lakeland weather! Leanne looks amazing in her dress from Beautiful Brides in Liverpool, and Callum’s as smart as can be in a classic Marc Darcy suit. But this day is all about the atmosphere: the glowing, beaming JOY of this wedding is second to none – and I hope you love it as much as we do!

Over to Leanne & Callum to tell you about their wedding day, with images by lovely wedding photographer Tom Hodgson, based in the Peak District.

Harriet and Oli’s day is a blast of incredible floral styling, oozing love and classic styling touches. Wedding harpist Harriet shares her best supplier recommendations from their wedding in Oakham, Rutland – with images by lovely Gemma Randall Photography

Wedding photographer review

Gemma was brilliant to work with in the lead up to the wedding, from our initial consultation where we talked about so much more than just the wedding to the day itself where she was brilliant to have around. As a bride, I felt totally supported by Gemma and she respected our choices, such as to not have bridal prep, but instead capture the details at our Chapel. The end photos are wonderful and really capture the fun and elegance of the day, as well as some lovely intimate moments between the two of us.

“Nominate two people to leave your table and swap places with other banished guests.”

Um… so this isn’t your average wedding meal. Of all the wedding traditions I’ve heard, banishing guests from their comfortable seats isn’t familiar… but it’s really, really funny.

Likewise asking guests to rearrange themselves in alphabetical order – but silently.

Or nominating one person per table as the ‘queen’ of that table, and assigning relevant duties and crowns / tiaras for the rest of the evening.

While you’re wedding planning, things can get a little stressful with spreadsheets and budgets… so it’s the perfect time to plan something romantic and lovely you can do together.

Top of my list for magical pre-wedding adventures is a couple photoshoot / engagement shoot. I’d explain why I love these so much, but I think Josh and Onyinye will cover it pretty well without me having to say a single word! Their images are stunningly beautiful, full of heart and wonderfully romantic. If you ever wondered whether an engagement photoshoot was a good idea… I think this stunning pair offer a resounding YES in every single image.
