The New Year has really got me thinking this time – about what you need from your favourite wedding websites. If you’re new here – hi! I’m Claire, and it’s lovely to have you here – you are so welcome. English Wedding began in 2009, as a place where couples can find wedding photographers and suppliers who care passionately about everything they do. That will never change. As AI is changing the wedding inspiration we see online, I want to make a commitment right here to share only authentic, beautiful work of real wedding suppliers.

And so – let’s begin 2026 with something a little different. A styled elopement filled with heart and soul, with the loveliest touches from a talented wedding dressmaker and floral stylist inspired by nature and the stunning coast around them.
Images are by South west wedding photographer Charlotte Sams, whose photography style is timeless and utterly wonderful. Charlotte, thank you so much for sending this our way!
“This styled elopement features dreamy dresses and thought out florals, photographed along the romantic Cornish cliffs. The wild coastline twinned with the beautiful accessories and florals create an amazing combination to inspire anyone with ideas of eloping in Cornwall or the South West.

The flowers were a real highlight, the peachy and pastel colours popping against the blue ocean created a thought out stunning look. With two fabulous dresses and a cape, the light wind allowed for some truly beautiful images with the soft light. This collaboration shows that even a simple elopement can be gorgeous as with the right styling and effort.”

A little reminder that I’m offering FREE English Wedding directory listings this month – it’s not too late to apply! It’s important to me that English Wedding does everything possible to support wedding businesses and couples. It’s why this website exists, and as a supplier I know how hard it can be to reach out to couples – even if they’re actively looking for the service you provide. It’s become exhausting to promote a small independent wedding business online and through social media – so I want to do my bit.
Here’s all the details about your free English Wedding listing. Whether you’re a long established wedding business, or have launched your brand in the last year or two – I want to be here to support you as much as I can. Tap here to apply for your FREE basic listing.

And by pure coincidence, I have a lovely styled wedding photoshoot to share today, from a group of Devon suppliers working at Battleford Farm. When this editorial landed in my inbox it included lovely photos of the suppliers setting up all of the flowers and candles, and reminded me that every wedding business is about people. Wedding suppliers work their hearts out and they deserve to be seen – so grab a cuppa, scroll slowly and enjoy all the winter warmth and loveliness from this talented bunch!
Thank you to lovely Hayley from Howard South West for submitting this photoshoot to English Wedding.

Winter Romance at Battleford Farm unfolded as a love letter to timeless elegance, capturing the quiet enchantment of a November day in the Devon countryside. Nestled amid rolling fields, Battleford Farm offered the perfect blank canvas – an untouched space transformed into a world of intimate candlelight, rich colour, and bespoke artistry. Though the venue is only open for spring and summer weddings, this editorial beautifully proved just how versatile the space is, showcasing its ability to be transformed into something atmospheric and enchanting even in the colder months.
Led and captured by Hayley of Howard South West, the shoot embraced the soft flicker of candle flames, letting gentle light dance across velvet florals by JR Floristry and the luxurious styling curated by Once Upon a Time Plymouth. Deep, romantic tones set a sumptuous mood, enhanced further by thoughtful, layered textures and the stillness of the rural surroundings.

Model Izzy, wearing an elegant gown and feathered jacket from Browns of Totnes, embodied effortless winter beauty. Her bridal look was elevated with handmade accessories by Claire Austen England, whose exquisite craftsmanship added a delicate glow. Claire, who also officiates as Claire Austen Wedding Celebrant, brought a uniquely heartfelt presence to the creative team, reminding us how one talented professional can beautifully shape both the visual and emotional sides of a wedding day. Ethereal hair and makeup by Get Glamorous by Bea completed the romantic aesthetic.

Stationery by Happy Everly After featured a bespoke illustration of Battleford Farm by Charlotte Chiverton Illustration, weaving the essence of the venue directly into the paper suite. The artistry continued with Papaver Fine Art Cakes, whose florals, crafted entirely from sugar, looked astonishingly real, adding a touch of edible sculpture to the scene.

From the melodic presence of singer-songwriter Laura Kate Music to the thoughtful content creation by Southwest Wedding Stories, every contributor layered another note of beauty into the composition. At the centre of it all was a concept shaped and modelled by Izzy Taylor, whose vision for Winter Romance celebrated the kind of love that glows brightest in the darker months; warm, intimate, and utterly unforgettable.

As we slow down and prepare for a couple of weeks to rest and recharge, I want to leave you with the most beautiful inspiration for your weddings. Today’s styled wedding editorial is incredible! The images have such a beautiful, authentic storytelling vibe brought to life by real couple Alistair & Dionne, and the flowers and styling are out of this world. Thank you lovely Lucy Davis Photography for sending this our way – and everyone, please check out the full supplier list below!

This vibrant, sophisticated editorial showcases how to infuse joyful colour and creative styling into a classic, historic setting. We chose the magnificent architecture of Arundel Town Hall in West Sussex as the backdrop to prove that traditional venues can host a completely modern love story.

The entire vision was beautifully styled by Keshira Creative Events and flawlessly captured by Lucy Davis Photography. Inspired by rich, painterly tones, our vision was brought to life by Eve’s Elegant Florals, who created breathtaking arrangements bursting with unexpected textures and playful hues.

The styling perfectly complements the grand scale of the Town Hall, highlighting the stunning light and natural beauty of the surroundings while keeping the focus on our beautiful couple. The historic and unique venue even allowed us a peek into the dramatic basement jail — the perfect playful transition before the evening celebrations truly ramped up.

The result is a look that is both timeless and totally inspiring, offering couples a blueprint for a wedding day that wows guests with its elegance, warmth, and fresh, modern perspective.

Confession time! I don’t often publish editorial photoshoots without a couple – more on that in a sec – but since James and Kerrie Photography have been so lovely I really wanted to share this with you! I would much rather show you inspiration with a couple – but for many wedding suppliers, it’s super hard to find a couple who’ll sign up for a day like this, let alone a menswear supplier to loan a suit!
So when James and Kerrie sent over this beautiful editorial for me to blog, I said yes. I would love to share more editorial content with couples – but when wedding creatives are genuinely struggling to find models they can afford, I’m happy to feature their hard work even without a partner for this lovely bride! So consider this my call for more editorial content with couples, and more representation of men in the wedding media! If there’s a national suit hire company out there willing to loan menswear for editorial, please do reach out and let us know!
If anyone out there has a styled wedding editorial photoshoot with 2 grooms, gorgeous styling and decor and a team of suppliers who’ve worked hard and want to be seen, PLEASE send it our way!
With thanks to Somerset wedding photographers James & Kerrie Photography, here’s today’s inspiration for you to enjoy!

Set in the heart of Somerset at the stunning Midelney Manor, this photoshoot was designed to inspire modern couples planning a relaxed yet beautifully styled garden wedding in the heart of the English countryside.

We embraced soft pink tones throughout, from Laura Le Page‘s delicate bridal makeup with a natural, soft bridal look, dewy makeup and Amanda Louise‘s loose up do with soft curls, to create a fresh, feminine palette that felt effortlessly romantic and perfect for the the English countryside.

Our cake maker The Gorge Bakehouse created a pretty textured floral cake, displayed in a woven basket beautiful styled by our wedding stylist Scarlett Rose Events for a charming countryside twist.

Our florist The Willow Blossom Florist made bridal bouquet baskets overflowing with seasonal blooms with blush-hued florals, offering a fresh take on traditional wedding flowers.

The picturesque English gardens at Midelney Manor, a family owned wedding venue in Somerset, were the perfect backdrop for a modern English country celebration.

It is our mission here at English Wedding to support and showcase local, independent wedding businesses throughout the UK. I’m delighted today to be sharing this beautiful photoshoot sent in by lovely Perissa Mackenzie Cakes – for cake fans, this is stunning! The florals, too, are out of this world.

Set against the beautifully intimate charm of the Cotswold Grange Hotel, this modern romantic styled editorial celebrates love in its most authentic form.
Married couple Jo & Ayo and their adorable children bring warmth and connection to the story. The space blooms with delicate florals by Little Interior Co, blending soft textures and refined tones. The blush rose Sonnet wedding cake by Perissa Mackenzie Cakes takes centre stage, its flowing structure and layered detail reflecting the grace and movement of modern romance.
Brought together by Jade Green Productions, the creative team captured a vision of modern romance designed to inspire intimate weddings.

The Cotswold Grange Hotel is a hidden gem in Cheltenham, filled with character and quiet charm. Its elegant interiors, soft natural light creates a calm and intimate setting. The blend of period architecture and modern comfort makes it ideal for couples who value warmth and connection.

The venue is perfectly suited for intimate, micro, or elopement weddings, offering a relaxed atmosphere without losing a sense of occasion. The space feels personal and inviting, allowing every guest to feel included in the celebration. The smaller scale encourages real connection, where every detail and every moment matters.
Cotswold Grange shows that intimate weddings can still be deeply elegant and romantic. It provides the space for couples to slow down, be present, and make each guest part of their story.
The striking mural formed the perfect backdrop for the dessert table, bringing a sense of artistry and quiet grandeur to the scene. The soft blush tones of the display complemented the mural’s muted palette, creating a balanced harmony between strength and romance.
