It has been a whirlwind of a week here at English Wedding HQ! I’ve typed up a 105-page modern calligraphy workbook, written a gold ink wedding table plan and menus for a November wedding, and planned in a bunch of gorgeous real weddings for the autumn – so I’m mega happy it’s Friday today! Having gorgeous couple Charlotte and Dexter on the blog makes it even more special – this is an AMAZING wedding and I just know you’ll love these two – I mean just look at this stunning golden hour photo!!!

All of their styling touches are minimal, neutral and clear – the cake is an absolute showstopper – created by Bake My Cake, it has all neutral tiers, but one tier to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Topped with handmade sugar flowers, and with a personalised crest with Charlotte and Dexter’s initials on one tier, it’s just beautiful!

Hey lovelies! I have a super pretty, feminine and romantic wedding to share with you today. Emma & Paul were married at Moxhull Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield in the summertime. They were blessed with glorious sunshine, and I especially loved seeing all the handmade decorations Emma had made – there is definitely a blush pink roses / hoops theme going on and together it all looks so pretty!

We have been to lots of weddings where Damian was hired as the photographer. We were absolutely delighted with his photos!!! I got goose bumps when we first saw them,  as Damian captured so many things we missed on the day.

Good morning, beautiful! I hope you’ve had the loveliest of weekends. I taught a really relaxed and fun calligraphy class in Manchester on Friday – the sweetest bunch of students and so talented I was barely needed! Then a weekend at Lancaster music festival… it’s been a fun one, but boy am I sleepy this morning! Today’s wedding though… oh this has brightened my heart already. It’s perfect. Beautiful bride Beth married her handsome hubby Lewis in Wales, styling their day with simple white and green touches – and bridesmaids in trouser suits kicking up a storm!! I just love this and know you will too. Thank you to our wonderful friend and sponsor, Hensol Castle wedding photographer Martin Dabek for sending us such a stunning wedding to share!

Lewis was an usher at his friend’s wedding a few years back and recommended Martin. Lewis is a bit camera shy but said he barely noticed Martin was taking any photos at all. His unobtrusive, in-the-moment approach was exactly what we were looking for.

As I write, the sunshine is peeking through the clouds up here in Cumbria, and the autumn leaves are glowing with fiery colours – it truly is a beautiful time of the year! Today’s couple Sophie and Chris chose to be married in the autumn, and used the most incredible florals to capture the magic of this time of year. Their images are by Kent wedding photographer Terence Joseph Photography, who I’m delighted to say is one of our newest English Wedding members.

The gorgeous pair were married at The Archbishop’s Palace, Maidstone and went on to The Weald of Kent Golf Club and Hotel at Headcorn – despite missing their OWN wedding bus as it left for the venue! They laughed and took it in their stride, grabbing the opportunity to have a couple of extra portraits taken with Terence as they waited for their bus to come back!

I just love how today’s beautiful and intimate wedding travels from city chic to seaside bliss in just a few stunning frames! Beautiful bride Jade wears a minimal and graceful dress from The Pretty Dress company and Gboyega is super stylish in a fitted suit from T.M. Lewin. They describe their September wedding as private, simplistic, intimate, meaningful… and windy! And they chose the perfect Dorset wedding photographer – our lovely friend and English Wedding member, Linus Moran Photography (www.linusmoranphotography.co.uk)

With no theme in mind, Jade and Gboyega embraced the vintage and rustic feel to their reception venue (The Pig on the Beach, at Studland). They had use of the roundhouse and summer house, which they were able to decorate with fresh flowers the day before. Surrounded by trees and with a view of the sea, the natural location on the Dorset coast gives this wedding a destination flavour – and it’s beautiful.

Tess and Tom’s February wedding has so many layers to it: there’s the romance between our gorgeous couple. Then there’s Tess’s Dad’s story (you’ll see what I mean when you start scrolling!), which totally captivated me (and shows just what your wedding day means to the ones you love!) There’s a wonderful camaraderie amongst the beautiful bridesmaids, who shimmer and sparkle through all the photos! And I love how there’s a lovely humour in the day – as Tess puts it, “who doesn’t like a Colin?!

The images are simply breathtaking – and Tess and Tom’s review for Northbrook Park wedding photographers MIKI Studios is a joy to read! So you’re about to read our best English Wedding interview ever… along with a gorgeous set of photos from a wedding which absolutely inspires me. These guys are just brilliant: Anna and Ollie’s wedding is perfectly THEM: individual, stylish and relaxed. They had 3 venues throughout the day, taking their party from registry office to foodie heaven to party venue. Venue styling simply wasn’t required: instead the focus was on celebrating their love and entertaining their guests! Likewise, Anna avoided bridal boutiques and found her incredible dress on The Outnet. She looks more than amazing – and  blissfully happy, confident and beautiful!

You just HAVE to read Anna’s interview, which made me chuckle, smile and pretty much break out in a little round of applause from time to time! Scroll through the fabulous photographs by our friend and English Wedding member Annelie Eddy Photography below, and you’ll find Anna’s interview after the pics. Keep reading right until the very last question – and enjoy!!!

Welcome to a rather special boho wedding inspiration feature, all the way from lovely Somerset. We’re talking Bianca Jagger-style bridal attire, sleek silhouettes and on-trend styling with a rustic but chic and fashion-forward aesthetic. Our bride is stunning in a two piece bridal jumpsuit from House of Ollichon and her groom looks amazing in a super stylish suit from Suave Owl. The setting is brilliantly styled, with twinkling fairy lights, copper accents and stunning floral arrangements by Flower Mouse Floristry. The use of twisted willow on the tables is so beautiful – the floral arrangements include peach and cream flowers, dark green foliage, pampas grass and peaches, with striking metallic copper accents.

Trestle tables and candle light give this wedding style a real warmth and welcoming feeling. The rustic ambiance with hessian and muslin textiles works beautifully. The locations around the venue include the old milking shed, and rustic antique cattle stalls, which have a countryside charm all of their own. Dairyhouse Farm has launched as a wedding venue this year, and looks a wonderful space for outdoor style ceremonies. Thank you to Emma from Beautiful Light Photography for sending this our way – I hope you love it as much as I do!

So many of our brides and grooms on the blog say the best thing about their wedding was having everyone they loved all in one place at the same time: it’s a once-in-a-lifetime scenario and should be treasured! In Chris and Arabella’s case, the temptation to do what friends do when they get together was too much: Chris is a climber, and his friends arrived… so, rocks!!!

That was the morning of the wedding, and luckily our fabulous friends from York Place Studios went along to capture the action (literally). I guess there aren’t so many wedding photographers who’d do this quite so brilliantly – and that’s what makes Dom & Liam (the funnest sister & brother wedding photographer combination you’ll ever come across!) absolutely perfect for today’s wedding. They’re based in Yorkshire and photograph weddings throughout the UK, as well as destination weddings. Their street wedding photography style always reminds me that weddings are about people, emotions, interactions between your loved ones – and those are the moments you’ll look back on (through your wedding album) and LOVE to bits in years to come.

Today’s wedding is wonderfully sunny and warm, beautifully styled and sooo romantic – it’s absolutely wonderful and I’ve been so excited to share this with you! Gorgeous couple Amy and Niall were married in Somerset, and styled their day around their backgrounds: as Amy is from Yorkshire and Niall is from Wales they incorporated both of these into their day.

They chose the tythe barn at Priston Mill as their wedding venue, and our lovely friend Priston Mill wedding photographer Martin Dabek to capture their day. So grab a cuppa and join us as we enjoy scrolling through the beautiful photographs of this rustic, relaxed, natural wedding day, full of love and laughter!

Welcome to the week, my lovelies! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. We’re kicking off this week with an absolute stunner of a wedding: beautiful Serena & Michael’s Worcestershire wedding has the loveliest atmosphere of elegance and glamour – I just know you’ll love this. Their wedding photographer is new to English Wedding: Nicholas Rogers Photography is based in the Midlands – he gets a brilliant review from the happy couple. Other suppliers include Georgina Scott Bridal Boutique in Stourbridge, where Serena bought that fabulous Martina Liana dress, Secret Garden Wedding Services, Chandni BeautyJon Paul Menswear and Flowers of Kidderminster.

“My mum dried flowers for a year for the confetti, our conservatory was covered for months at a time! We also bought wall paper for the paper cones to put them in. They were so beautiful, all the guests loved them. We assembled the favours ourselves, painstakingly building 150 boxes, putting macaroons in them and attaching a ribbon and a tag to each one. We made our seating plan ourselves from a huge picture frame and printed the table inserts at home.

Before I say anything else, I just have to start with Stacey’s DRESS today – because WOW!!! She looks incredible in a Stella York gown from Bicester Bridal. This is a dreamy outdoor wedding in Oxfordshire, with gorgeous May sunshine (and the sunset is stunning!) and a soft colour palette of blush with accents in powder blue and gentle peach. The flowers are wonderful, the vibe is elegant, fun and romantic and the images by Benjamin Wetherall Photography take my breath away. You’ll love this.
