Hello everyone! I hope you’re having the most amazing Christmas and enjoying a little time off work and with your families and friends. I promised myself the English Wedding Blog would have brand new features every day over the festive season, and today’s wedding is a real treat – definitely one not to miss!

Matt Parry Photography eclectic London wedding (1)

Jae-Marie got in touch with me in November to tell me all about her beautiful eclectic London wedding to Dan, and I’m so delighted she did. What a stunning bride… a gorgeous couple in fact, and the most inspiring and creative wedding day! The flowers are a treat, and there’s fabulous styling by Bellaboo and Beau, specialist wedding stylists based in Sussex.

Huge thanks to London wedding photographer Matt Parry for sharing his fabulous images of the day, and my warmest congratulations to Jae-Marie and Dan – thank you especially to lovely Jae-Marie for getting in touch and making my week with this incredibly beautiful wedding. Hello everyone, I hope you’re having the most wonderful Christmas! Let’s relax together with a short wedding film this morning, shall we? The very lovely Richard from White Dress Films got in touch to share Sarah and Rick’s wedding film, and I love it!

Sarah + Rick || Gaynes Park from White Dress Films on Vimeo.

I love the Mr & Mrs signs – the library as a backdrop for the wedding dress is amazing! This couple have great style… proven by the rows of Converse set out before the wedding begins. They’re for the groomsmen, and are always lovely to see!

Sarah looks amazing and Rick is her perfect match. This is a magical, emotional wedding with inspiring styling – it has everything. Be inspired by their style – ice cream cones and bunting, colourful converse, pink roses and wildflowers in jars on tables. The table plan with hand cut letters, and the photo wall with ready-made quotes. The end of the wedding film is lovely, the romantic lighting just makes you want to see more! By White Dress Films

Hello everyone, and welcome to my last real wedding before Christmas – I’ve been saving today’s wedding for a special day as it’s just so beautiful, and I think the romance of an English country wedding is a perfect note to end with in the run up to Christmas day.

I asked Jonathon and Louise to describe their wedding in just one sentence, and this was their reply:

I married my best friend, and got to share it with all of our loved ones in a beautiful setting with yummy food and wine!

Isn’t that beautiful?
Rik Pennington London wedding photographer (2)
And as gorgeous as the images of today’s wedding are, it’s all about the love for this adorable couple. Congratulations Louise and Jonathon, and thank you ever so much for sharing your wedding story with us today on the English Wedding Blog. Many thanks also to wonderful London wedding photographer Rik Pennington for submitting his beautiful images to the blog. Everyone – you’re going to adore this wedding. Enjoy!

Oh – but there’s a cheeky one in there to make you smile – a particular familiar face I’m sure we’ll all be seeing this Christmas, who you perhaps won’t be sharing your wedding with… can you spot him?

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer?

From the moment we met with Sam and Louise we knew they would be our wedding photographers. They were such a lovely couple and their style was exactly what we were looking for. They were the first photographers we met and decided we didn’t need to see any others.

Hollie and Tim’s wedding is adorable! I can imagine being there… so much to see, so many gorgeous little details and quirky countryside touches. They had a September wedding at Hellens Manor, a historic country home with the most magical gardens and a charming barn for wedding receptions. There are dozens of images to share with you – I love the lanterns and every little thing just looks amazing… not to mention the most gorgeous bride and handsome groom!

Hellens Manor wedding blog Amy Taylor Photography (1)

Lovely wedding photographer Amy (Amy Taylor Imaging Photography) emailed and told me “fab bride Hollie worked so hard putting together her country vintage look, right down to hand frosting all the jam jar lamps herself after collecting from friends and family all year to get enough! They are a cracking couple whose wedding day was so much fun it would be lovely to share 🙂

Oh my word… I just love Philippa and Andrew’s ballroom wedding. Today’s star bride on the English Wedding Blog is a modern day Audrey Hepburn – Philippa is stunning. And as a make up artist specialising in wedding make up, she’s shared her secrets for the perfect bridal look as part of her wedding report, at the end of the blog today! Thank you, lovely lady!

The bride and groom: Andrew and Philippa

Wedding venue:

Mandarin Oriental, Knightsbridge, London. A countryside wedding was our original plan, however this was proving difficult because at the time we had 200 guests to invite.  We didn’t want to go to a beautiful countryside manor and have to use a marquee – what’s the point of going to a stunning location to be put in a marquee and have to spend thousands dressing it?  So we decided that interior was key and the Mandarin Oriental was the perfect answer.  We had the best of both worlds, a beautiful ballroom with Hyde Park literally on your door step.

Morning! I’m typing delicately this morning with a little plaster on my finger – I have an actual blogging injury from too much typing hehe!! But it won’t stop me bringing you today’s beautiful Northamptonshire wedding courtesy of another very beautiful bride, the lovely Kirsty and her gorgeous groom Matt. Their wedding at Pipewell Hall is full of ideas, lovingly crafted and as Kirsty herself will tell you, a dream wedding brought to life!

Today’s beautiful bride Sophie has given me some of the best quotes to use on the blog – and this is an all time favourite. The best thing about being married? The feeling of completeness, being absolute in the knowledge that you love one another unconditionally and that you are fully committed towards each other regardless of what life may throw at you.

English country vintage wedding by Paul J Andrews Photography (1)

Wonderful words and a heart-warming perspective – today’s wedding just happens to be deliciously pretty as well as meltingly romantic. I know you’ll love it as much as I do. This is a fabulous English country vintage wedding with oodles of inspiration and DIY ideas. Shilstone House even tried to buy Sophie’s handmade bunting after the big day… but the happy couple are keeping it for other family occasions (and what a lovely memory to have!) – that’s how lovely they made their day look!

Good morning everyone, I hope you’re all safe and my heart goes out to those of you affected by flooding today. We had some of the worst gales here yesterday, but it’s much calmer now here on the west coast. Now – if you haven’t seen me sneak peeking this wedding on the English Wedding facebook page, where’ve you been?! I’ve struggled to hold back on sharing all the beautiful images and ideas with you.

Clare and Ian are just incredible. Their wedding is breathtaking! The rustic styling is beautiful and colourful, with gorgeous DIY touches throughout. Clare looks stunning and Ian and all the guys look great in sand coloured suits – perfect for the rustic theme. There are so many gorgeous things to watch out for, I think you should grab a cuppa and at least one biscuit and settle down to enjoy this one properly.

Today’s beautiful bride is Jessica, world traveller and blogger, and now wife of the very handsome Johannes! Their Kent wedding is full of vintage travel ideas – with a world map table plan, paper flowers made out of map pages and more. Johannes even wears a bow tie made from map printed fabric!

vintage travel themed wedding Chris Orange (30)

I love how this wedding is so personal to the couple. They’re really styled the day around their lives and loves – and have also embraced Englishness by marrying in a historic brewery. I will be raising a glass or two to you both this weekend! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your wedding and story on the English Wedding Blog today. Thank you also to photographer Chris Orange for sharing the images of the wedding day. Everyone – enjoy!
