Filly’s stunning vintage dress is from Days of Grace in Budleigh Salterton – their heirloom gowns are wonderful, made from vintage lace and perfect for a country wedding with a twist of boho. I love this! Filly and her girls had their hair done by Tara of Head Hair and Beauty – and they all look amazing.

Great Lodge summer wedding with Gemma Giorgio Photography on the English Wedding Blog (29)

I love today’s wedding – it has such a flavour of summer! The flowers are divine, beautifully colourful. Becky and Tim make the loveliest couple, and there are lots of lovely handcrafted styling elements to their day: so this is just gorgeous and right up my street!Claire

Becky and Tim had throughly thought out the whole day, with something always happening, whether that was the live musical performances from Tim the groom, the dance off or the firework finish! Also having know Becky since we were at primary school it made it extra special to be a part of their day.

Genna and Sean’s wedding is so, so beautiful! The venue was covered in flowers, fairy lights and hanging lanterns (all handmade with love), with special touches created on site, made lovingly by friends and family. The venue itself has scenery which surrounded the Ceremony and Reception, making it extra special!

“Words can’t describe how happy we are that we chose Evolve Photography to capture the special moments on our Wedding day! Mark was absolutely fantastic, and clearly extremely passionate, as well as very talented at what he does. This made the day, and photos extremely enjoyable, and meant that we were able to just relax and enjoy our day. Mark was also able to capture the essence of both of us, and our bridal party and groomsmen – allowing the fun that we were having to show through in our photos, which was fantastic! Our photos turned out better than we could imagined, and we would highly recommend Evolve Photography to anyone who can snap him up!

Today’s wedding is breathtaking – there are moments here when I forgot to breathe, the images are so beautiful! I love the elegance that runs through the whole day, the smiles, the black and white images, the little details and the spectacular venue Nick and Lucy chose for their Surrey wedding.

Woldingham School wedding photography by Greg Coltman, Essex on the English Wedding Blog (53)

“Our flowers were arranged by the lovely Lisa Jordan. We were really keen to stick to soft pastels to fit with our theme, so I went with pale pinks and ivory in my bouquet – sweet avalanche roses, ivory spray roses, ivory freesias and eucalyptus – whilst the bridesmaids had the same in just ivory. We bought all of the vases and mirror plates ourselves for the centre pieces as it worked out a little cheaper, then asked Lisa to arrange displays of white lilies, eucalyptus and grasses. We had pale blue sashes on the chairs so we kept the centre pieces neutral which looked really smart. The mother of the groom put together little posies for the pew ends at the church which we brought with us to the venue in little jam jars to decorate the bar area.”

Today’s is a wedding with breathtaking photography, a truly gorgeous bride and groom, beautiful details and the most amazing venue: “Guesten Hall at Avoncroft didn’t need much decoration as the roof is decoration enough and we didn’t want to take away from it.

“We added some small touches, such as photographs of various family members from key moments in their lives as well as amusing photos from our childhood and strung fairy lights across the hall to add a bit of sparkle.

We made a lot! All the name places were hand-stamped, and we cut out hundreds of hearts from wildflower paper for the wedding favours. We started the handmade elements at least a year before the wedding, so there was no last minute rush or panic.”

An English wedding with an Italian twist? Oh yes… Suzanne and Glenn’s wedding party, which is all kinds of gorgeous, followed an intimate Italian wedding in Florence. So all their friends in the UK could share in the celebrations, they had a reception back home – and it rocks.

“As we had a marquee all the decoration was down to us, we tried to keep it quite simple with cream carpet a white linings a lot of the marquee was open so to bring the outside area in. We hired a bar made from wooden pallets and a few other vintage features from Idyllic days.

I made invites, menus, and a wooden pallet filled with pictures of our families on their wedding days. I love anything like that and really enjoyed finding all the perfect elements for each project.”

Every wedding I see is a story: a tale of two people – surrounded by dozens of people who love them – declaring their love and celebrating it with every fibre of their beings. Today’s gorgeous wedding blog is all about the story, and you’re about to share the very best moments from Helen and Rich’s best day ever. There are lots – because the party is what it’s all about. These guys really did have the time of their lives…

Our gorgeous couple celebrated at the Boathouse Hotel, Trearddur Bay, in Anglesey. I do love the little details, and today’s wedding blog is no exception: the little boats, the cake, Helen’s stunning dress, the flowers… but I’ve also come to appreciate that top hats look best on the dancefloor, and that a massive part of any wedding story takes place after the sun goes down!

Your Wednesday just got a whole lot more AMAZING… because we have the most beautiful boho wedding for you to get all inspired by this morning. I love everything – Abigail’s dress and her stunning plait, Mark’s super cool look (and his first dance story!), the flowers, the tipi, the wedding bake-off… and I very much think you will be as bowled over by this stunning wedding as I was!

“We aren’t a particularly traditional couple, so we knew from the off that a castle or a fancy hotel wasn’t for us. We knew we wanted a real earthy, bohemian feel so after seeing an advertisement on a magazine we just knew we had to have a tipi. Pitching it at our local cricket club was the ideal place.

“Over the year of planning, my initial earthy theme started to morph into a more Country Garden feel. I sourced some great watering cans and Mark painstakingly cut wood slices for my centerpieces. My florist then filled these with a beautiful arrangement of garden flowers.

Today’s wedding is guaranteed to bring a smile: the colours are stunning, the styling absolutely beautiful, and the bride and groom gorgeous as can be! Elaine & Matt were married at West Tower, Aughton, and describe their best day ever as “a traditional, bright and colourful day filled with smiles“.

“I wanted a vintage classic dress that would suit my petite figure. However all I knew was that I wanted some lace and a high neck, so I was very open minded.

“In order to give the illusion of height I went for a more figure hugging design. I tried on a huge variety and loved the whole experience of trying on all styles. However, when I put on the dress I chose I knew it was ‘the one.’ My mum could tell by the huge smile on my face.”

This morning lovely blog readers I have the prettiest real wedding for you – a gorgeous bride and groom and one of England’s most stunning venues – Hampton Court. You’ll adore this! Beautiful bride Joanne told me all about their day (don’t miss the full English Wedding Blog interview at the bottom of the post!)

Spring wedding in London Hampton Court Captured by Katrina (71)

“Our wedding style was a mixed bag – but oh so personal – and everyone commented on the personal touches. We used spring time blooms – lots of pastels and soft pinks and blush mixed with lime green to signify the start of spring and the start of a new adventure for Archie and I.

Given that I am from South Africa but decided to get married in the UK, we made sure that our wedding theme had lots of personal South African touches mixed in with English traditions. These included:

  • biltong snacks on our boat trip from our church to Kingston upon Thames down to Hampton Court.

I do love Emma & Alex’s wedding! The details are gorgeous, they’re just such a lovely couple, I love how simple and elegant Emma’s dress is… and right up to the last image of Emma on stage, it’s kept me smiling as I scrolled through all of their beautiful images. You’ll love it too… get your Pinning fingers ready, because the blog is bursting with gorgeous ideas today!

“Crafts & makes were my favourite part of wedding planning! I could not wait to start decorating and crafting! I sewed the bridesmaids gifts bags myself and filled them with goodies for the day and a little thank you gift. We collected and decorated champagne corks with ribbon and flowers for the tables as well as an assortment of glass jars for the flowers. I even made a post box for the cards. We raided my parents shed for old pieces of furniture and bits and bobs to create a big display in the marquee.

The flowers are as timeless as can be – while our passion for dahlias, peonies and hydrangeas comes and goes, our love of the classic English rose never fades. Laura and Chris’s wedding is beautiful, full of roses and in one of our favourite stately home venues: Hemswell Court. You’ll love today’s feature – it’s sooo pretty, so romantic…and there are some giggles too. Enjoy! Claire xx

When Laura and Chris explained what they were going to be doing, I thought they were a little mad. They’d just emigrated to Australia and were coming back to the UK for 2 weeks, just to get married! The wedding was such a massive celebration, with friends and family from all over – lots of Australian and Irish accents, with some people coming from as far away as Lincoln!
