Morning lovelies! I’m feeling lucky today to be sharing one of those rare 2020 weddings. Back in February, gorgeous couple Sophie and Chris were able to tie the knot at Curradine Barns, and lovely Nellie Photography captured their day. Sophie’s stunning in a dress from English Wedding members TDR Bridal (whose new website is looking AMAZING btw!), and Chris’s Peter Posh suit is just perfect with an adorable dickie bow! This is all so beautiful – the moments are heartfelt and bring a tear to my eye. The pure happiness on these two’s faces is absolutely what I need to see – and it helps me to believe that soon, we’ll have weddings back. Stay strong, Beautiful – this will pass and here’s a glorious example of what we can all look forward to soon!

It’s a treat these days to see a real wedding, to be reminded that weddings can, and will happen in 2021. Hang on in there – we’ll get through this, and the light at the end of the tunnel is starting to show. In the meantime, we have this stunning wedding to share. It’s from safer times – Tim and Victoria were married at Stratton Court Barn way before the pandemic. Lovely Steph Kiely captured their day, with some wonderfully romantic shots around the venue in the afternoon sunlight. These two are absolutely gorgeous – I hope their day brings a smile, and some inspiration too – for me, the little table signs and florals are adorable!
With love,

Happy Monday, lovelies! I hope you’re all doing ok. In case you missed it over the weekend, I wanted to share lovely Annabel’s Love My Dress update on covid and weddings, and all the amazing work the #whataboutweddings campaign is doing. Please read if you haven’t already – progress is being made, and this is super important. Meanwhile, I’d like to share a really special wedding with you today. Lovely couple Soma and Jonny were married in pre-pandemic times at Heaton House Farm, and our fabulous friend, English Wedding member and Somerset & UK wedding photographer Simon Biffen Photography was there to capture their day. The personal touches are inspired, the styling is fabulous, the bride and groom look AMAZING and the images are out of this world.

Balance is hugely important to me. I feel a responsibility as a wedding blogger – there has to be reality on here. As much as I love a styled photoshoot, and I do enjoy the fine art style of wedding blogs, it’s the reality of a wedding that thrills me. There’s the beautiful bride, the gorgeous details and all the elegant styling of course. But on the day, there’s the excitement. There’s that pure excitement and overwhelm and the buzz and nervousness of a wedding day. I’m sure you’ve heard other couples say it all goes by in a blur – I know I have. It’s a whirlwind of people, of faces and hugs and having the best day ever with everyone you love all at once.

I think we all need a little sunshine in our lives, and lovely Hannah Larkin Photography excels at stunning golden hour images – so today I’m sharing a wedding I know you’ll love. Beautiful bride Dorothée and her handsome hubby Lee were wed in the summer of 2018 in Oxford. Their day is wonderfully family focused, full of joy and laughter and ends with a sunset paddling session in the river. What could be more perfect?
