Romance & glamour was the underlying theme for this beautiful wedding editorial set at Hawkstone Hall in England. The grand & historic hall with its very own ornate chapel is situated in the unspoilt countryside on the Shropshire/Cheshire border.

The shoot colour scheme composed of peach, pink, copper & gold which added beautiful warmth to the luxury feel of the shoot. A stylish invitation suite featuring mixed colours of ivory, peach, & black was designed by The Little Paper Shop and this was photographed as a flat lay on a pink canvas background.

It’s not often I cry at a wedding on my screen – but today, Stephen and Colin got me. Their love story is so romantic, and to hear how their little family has grown since their first (big) wedding and their 10 year vow renewal… well, I cried!! Perhaps it was ‘Big Dad’ and ‘Short Dad’ – perhaps the rescue dog tale… perhaps the overwhelming romance of the setting and how beautiful their vow renewal was.

A lovely micro wedding from one of our new English Wedding members, Yorkshire wedding photographer Heather Butterworth. Jonty & Sarah tied the knot (lucky things!) in October, with their closest family present to witness a beautiful intimate ceremony and socially distanced reception. It’s genuinely beautiful – as I’ve said before, human connection is everything right now, and seeing that love isn’t cancelled just means the world to us.

Lovely Jonty and stunning bride Sarah were married at Stanley House Hotel in Lancashire, and give the venue – along with all their other suppliers – a resounding 11/10. Do read Jonty’s full English Wedding interview below for all the scores and more supplier recommendations 😉 All images by Heather Butterworth Photography (naturally, another strong 11/10!)“english

Elegant styling and incredible florals for a classic English wedding. Today’s stunning bride Hannah wears a Pronovias gown from House of Snow, with Scott looking super handsome in a Ted Baker suit with velvet tie. This is a beautiful pre-pandemic wedding, and a treasured reminder of how weddings were, and will be again. Images are by our lovely friend Rob Dodsworth Photography, a Norfolk wedding photographer.

How did you choose your photographer?

Searched online with help of my bridesmaids. Turns out my friend that is getting married also chose Rob as her photographer at a similar time which was a complete coincidence!

After the year we’ve all had, it makes me so, so happy to be able to share real weddings. 2020 weddings were few and far between, but oh, the days which were able to go ahead as micro weddings have been SO special! Today we’re celebrating with beautiful Danielle and handsome husband Lewis, who were married in 2020. Their story is told in the loveliest photographs by English Wedding member Grace Elizabeth, a Devon wedding photographer. My heart goes out to Danielle and Lewis – having to postpone their wedding because of covid, and then changing dates so their micro wedding could go ahead, must have been so hard. It’s really heartwarming to hear how their suppliers pulled out all the stops to make this day happen. Please do scroll all the way through for Grace Elizabeth’s fabulous golden hour portraits which capture the love of these two so perfectly!
