If 15% of couples consider eloping most years, then I bet 2020 had ten times that figure… the tears and postponements and new rules have had us all tearing our hair out in frustration. But come 2021, I imagine more of us will be calmly planning to elope – and trust me, it’s a wonderful thing to do. If you read our ‘Married Now, Party Later Revolution‘ feature you’ll get what I mean. And if you read about Laura and Daniel’s STUNNING elopement to New York (in safer times!) I think you’ll be sold on the idea. NYC is a dream elopement location, but you can tie the knot pretty much anywhere these days. This stunning wedding inspiration comes from luxury wedding planner and English Wedding member Elegante by Michelle J. Michelle’s eye for beautiful styling is second to none: the blues in this seaside wedding location are perfect. The atmosphere is romantic as can be… just look at the views as the sun sets…

I’d love to feature more Jewish weddings and inspiration features. I love reading Smashing the Glass, where this styled shoot was first shown last month. (If you’re a wedding photographer and you have a real wedding we could feature, please get in touch!) The contemporary Judaica is elegant and perfectly matched to the dreamy blue colour palette. The blue accents everywhere are perfect – the ketubah (marriage contract) is absolutely glorious and the chuppah (canopy) as delicately blue as the summer skies. Oh, and it’s positively loaded with the most breathtaking hydrangeas…

I predict destination weddings are going to be super popular after the pandemic. When we all know it’s safe to fly, we’re going to be looking for amazing adventures and beautiful memories – and what better way to make lifetime memories than with a destination wedding! So today I’m sharing this stunning celebration – Stacey and Darren were married long before covid, and headed to the Algarve with family and friends to tie the knot. They hired our friend, English Wedding member and Algarve wedding photographer Martin Dabek to capture their day.

Your wedding will be one of the best days of your life. Marrying your perfect partner surrounded by everyone you hold dear makes for a truly wonderful experience – couple that with choosing to tie the knot in a jaw-dropping foreign destination, and the magic is increased ten fold! There are so many exciting aspects when it comes to planning a destination wedding – but also a few more elements to consider than if you get married at home in the UK.

Hey lovelies – I have a dreamy real wedding to share with you today. This is a destination wedding from France, with delicately pretty styling touches and light and airy photography by our lovely friend Hannah K Photography. Francine is breathtaking in a gorgeous lace dress from Love Bridal London; Jamie her perfect match in Marc Darcy tailoring. As our regular readers will know, we tend to stay in the UK for our features, so this trip to the Loire Valley for a destination wedding is an absolute (albeit virtual) treat! I hope you love it too.

With love,
