A charming autumn wedding for the loveliest pair and their adorable little sausage dog Stan! We’re smitten with Doxford Barns and falling in love with string lights all over again! Congrats to gorgeous couple Jess & Jake, hugs for Stan and big thank yous to Paylor Photography for sharing their amazing images with us today.

Wedding photographer review

We couldn’t recommend Paylor enough! Jake and I aren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera but Rebecca and Rob were so easy to work with, they made us feel at ease from the word go. They took photos of moments we didn’t even know they were there for, they work like magic.

The jury’s out on whether this is a festival-style wedding, or a festival with a wedding in it. Because this amazing pair’s festival game is strong! All the love for GORGEOUS couple Jamie & Luke for celebrating their way. This wedding / festival rocks its socks off, and we’re all in for the party of the decade!

Our beautiful bride and groom had the look, taste and sound of a real mini festival, with fire dancers (keep scrolling – they’re at the end!) and bands and musicians playing full sets before the DJ took over late in the evening.

Wedding traditions are a hot topic right now, and we’re all for crushing the patriarchy and making NEW traditions of our own! Here’s four for starters, sent in by nice person called Owen at Mediaworks, on behalf of Langley Castle. Oh, and edited for inclusivity because not all weddings have a bride! While traditions are still followed by the majority, with 83% of couples, for example,  continuing the first dance tradition, some feel it can make a wedding less personal. If you love the old traditions that’s absolutely fine! But if you’d like to switch things up, by injecting a theme close to you and your partner, you can ensure that your day is as you want it, with or without the first dance or bouquet toss!

Buying your engagement ring is one of the most exciting purchases of your life, but some of the technical descriptions can be a bit confusing – unless you’re a jeweller! While some are obvious, others are harder to work out so, Emmeline Smith from Infinity Diamond Jewellery shares her quick guide to help get you up to speed with the basics.

The main parts of a ring

Shank or band – is simply the part of the ring that wraps around your finger, in any metal and is the part that will bear any hallmark.

We’re taking a virtual stroll around Hertfordshire today, discovering some favourite Herts wedding venues with our lovely friend Becky Harley Photography. Coltsfoot Country Retreat

I’ve worked here loads and absolutely love it. Coltsfoot has it all. In 2021 they reopened after some major refurbishment to open up the barn space so it now has high ceilings and exposed beams, letting in loads of light (an unusual feature for barns).
