Thank you lovely Carla Thomas Photography for this contribution to English Wedding.

2020 has been anything but dull and the good news if your wedding is planned for the end of the year, weddings are now allowed to take place. Of course, there are some restrictions in place as the country and world eases back into the new normal.

I know this year’s been a rollercoaster for all of you – Covid has hit us hard, and we still don’t know how or when we’ll come out of this safely. 2020 sucks! I’ve kind of taken it upon myself to share as many micro wedding related ideas as I possibly can. Small, intimate and cosy weddings are magical, I promise. If you’re planning your day for 2021 perhaps it’ll be very different to the wedding you originally had in mind. But the wedding industry is adjusting: photographers are coming up with special packages for smaller weddings; stationers are creating all kinds of “new date” wedding invites – and today I’m thrilled to be sharing some glorious bouquets especially for intimate weddings. Which is your favourite?

For so many of us, having a dog is the same as an extra family member and for many, it only seems right that they would be part of their big day. But there is a lot to consider when it comes to having man’s best friend walking down the aisle with you. If you feel like you can’t tie the knot without them, there’s a number of steps you can take that will help keep your dog happy on your wedding day – and if they’re involved, that has to be the most important thing! The team at Rivenhall Oaks, a bespoke wedding venue in Witham, share their tips for how you can incorporate your favourite canine into your big day.

The English Wedding Directory is our curated list of brilliant wedding vendors. Our Insta is regularly updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!

These lovely wedding suppliers have joined the English Wedding Directory in the last couple of weeks – do take a moment to discover them, and if you like what you see why not get in touch and even book this weekend?

It’s been a bumper year for proposals – which only proves that love is stronger than any pandemic. We will get through this – and when we do, the other side will be so full of joyful celebrations we won’t know where to turn. I have the most romantic proposal to share with you today – with beautiful Oluwaseun taken completely by surprise when Akinwale popped the question on a quiet day in central London.

Akinwale planned everything perfectly, with London proposal photographer Matt Badenoch ready and waiting to capture the moment. Afterwards they had a stroll around the city for some more beautiful photos to celebrate their engagement!
