Mike & Khiley’s sophisticated and FUN black tie wedding at Brunswick House, with Oliver Holder Photography
Morning my lovelies! I have a STUNNER of a winter wedding to share with you today – I don’t think I’ve ever seen quite so many beaming smiles from a wedding we’ve featured on English Wedding. Mike and Khiley are ultra sophisticated, sexy and chic – their wedding is one of those knock-your-socks-off occasions full of joy and happiness. I have a feeling we’re going to leave you glowing for the rest of the day.

How did you choose your photographer?
We found Oliver on Instagram & immediately fell in love with his style. Fun, documentary style shooting but full of personality.
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Oliver was a total joy on the day. He felt like part of the wedding party. Everyone loved him… then the photos came back & they were more than I could have dreamed of. He caught the essence of our day totally!
Videographer details if applicable – and any thoughts for other couples about having a wedding video?
It was so important to us having the day filmed. We knew we would want to relive the day for the rest of our lives. Our day had so many fun theatrical moments that we would have been devastated if we had missed the opportunity to capture that on film…
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
Brunswick House https://www.brunswickhouse.co/
In our early days of dating we whiled away many glorious hours drinking rosé here, we also celebrated Mike’s birthday here with his friends in our first year together. The second he proposed we both just knew in our heart it had to be Brunswick. We actually never even visited another venue. London is so much a part of who we are so a city venue was non negotiable. We also knew we didn’t want a traditional venue. Brunswick had everything & more… including the most delicious menu & cocktails!
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
I knew I wanted a sleek look for my wedding dress. Again I found my Pronovias gown in the first place we visited. Mike wanted a tux- so really Hugo Boss was the only option. I loved the fact it was a black tie/wedding fusion. It reflected the vibe for our day perfectly.
Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness
Designs by Fiona.
This woman is a genius. I spoke to her about wanting a romantic wild look & she just utterly nailed it. She filled the tables with bronze candelabras flowing with eucalyptus. I nearly cried when I saw what she had created… its was just amazing. She created greenery garlands for the Ceremony & filled the space with candles. My bouquet was glorious… I could not have done it with out her!
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
We opted for a tower of cheeses! That would then become the midnight snacks. We used a wonderful cheese wholesaler FDL cheese so we could create it ourselves. The Manchego & creamy blue Stilton were the stars of the show!
Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?
We had a legal ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall the day before. I wore a white mini Tux dress & Mike in a relaxed suit with just a handful of guests before popping the champagne in a pub next door. It’s was so relaxed & fun. We did this as we wanted the ceremony on the day to be totally personal to us. We had a dear friend of ours Matthew Malthouse took the role of celebrant. We wrote stories about each other that other friends read our instead of formal readings. My band The Tootsie Rollers wrote a piece about marriage for us before singing a personalised a Capella version of LOVE (MIKE) we met on the Musical Singin In The Rain so our MD friend Robert Scott lead everyone in the title song from the show as our Hymn. We also wrote personalised promises as our vows. The ceremony was joyful from start to finish as we had the freedom to make it 100% us! Obviously having so many talented friends helped…
What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?
Adele- One & Only. In the early days of dating we would sit up all night talking & drinking drinking beer- not wanting to lose a second with each other on sleep. We would listen to this song over & over as it just summed up how we felt. We had the opening lyric made in wire writing to go over our bed when we first moved into together. The song is very important to us.

Hair was Beverley Charlton – she is the go to woman in The West End for all things hair- she had worked with my husband on the body guard so she kindly agreed to look after me on the day, she did the most wonderful job!
Make up – Camilla Hurst. She had been MUA on a shoot for friends & they raved about her. She was so wonderful. My make up was flawless & she was so much fun to have around. I was sad she wasn’t a guest!
