Delicately beautiful paper and calligraphy styling ideas for your 2021 wedding
I’m missing writing calligraphy so much! Here are some of my favourite wedding calligraphy ideas for all of you 2021 couples out there. If you haven’t seen this side of me, as well as writing English Wedding I love to pick up my dippy ink pots and nibs and write handcrafted wedding stationery. I’ve been incredibly lucky over the last few years to work alongside some incredible creatives: photographers, stylists and of course my super talented illustrator friend, lovely Amy Swann.
By way of an introduction to my wedding calligraphy work, I’ve picked out three favourite collections from photoshoots with some amazing talents. I’d urge you to check out all of these suppliers for your day – every single one comes with a heartfelt recommendation from me!
All of these calligraphy invitation designs can be ordered as bespoke stationery pieces for your 2021 wedding, so please get in touch if you’re interested in something along these lines. You can contact me about your wedding stationery at calligrapherclaire@gmail.com
A Floral Fairytale: Serenity wedding invitation collection
The Serenity wedding invitation lay at the heart of the first wedding stationery collection I designed with my beautiful and talented illustrator friend, Amy Swann. Amy’s delicate florals and leaves, the soft blush pinks and blue toned foliage stole my heart. These stunning images by Kathryn Hopkins capture the details beautifully: for this photoshoot I added a torn edge to the design as well as some 23 carat gold leaf detailing.
Serenity is perfect for a fine art wedding in the summertime. The florals capture the romance of an English country garden, the colours add a whimsical note to this luxury wedding stationery collection. It’s a dreamy stationery choice for boho brides, and couples looking for something with that ‘understated elegance’ vibe which will be huge in 2021.

British floral inspiration – classic peony wedding invitations
This vibrantly coloured wedding stationery design brings the country cottage garden to life with delicate peonies and pretty forget-me-nots. The spring florals are just wonderful – again they’re the creation of the very talented Amy Swann, whose breathtaking wedding cakes are as intricately beautiful as her illustrations.
This invitation suite was featured on Love My Dress as part of British Flower week.

Autumnal floral wedding inspiration – bespoke wedding calligraphy and illustraion
This bespoke wedding calligraphy invitation suite in burgundy and gold was featured in Brides magazine. Perfect for autumn, the fine art wedding vibe is our absolute favourite. Aren’t the florals just exquisite?
Amy’s intricate illustrations took my breath away when I saw them for the first time. The detail is just beautiful; the colours are perfect for this autumn wedding invitation suite. The calligraphy swirls in gold are striking on the burgundy background – this is a really special design for a unique wedding with autumn blooms and grasses, dried flowers and a flavour of evening sunshine.
