Hey lovelies!  A very quick little blog post from me today as I’m squirrelling away behind the scenes on a couple of little projects. I’m reaching out to every wedding stationery designer out there for a little help and so I can feature your designs!

Very soon I’ll be publishing English Wedding’s Essential Guide to wedding invitation wordings.

The guide (on the blog) will be full of example wordings, advice and beautiful invitations with recommendations for where to buy wedding invitations!

If you make wedding stationery and you’re UK based, then I’d love to include you in the feature. As a thank you, I’ll be offering HALF PRICE MEMBERSHIP to every contributor. (That means, for a Silver directory listing on the blog and FOUR home page features on English Wedding, you’ll only pay £60 for the year. Crazy times, right?!)

If you can help, please email me (info@english-wedding.com)

  • a photo of your favourite wedding invitation design (non standard wordings especially welcome)
  • a link to the home page of your website

I’m missing writing calligraphy so much! Here are some of my favourite wedding calligraphy ideas for all of you 2021 couples out there. If you haven’t seen this side of me, as well as writing English Wedding I love to pick up my dippy ink pots and nibs and write handcrafted wedding stationery. I’ve been incredibly lucky over the last few years to work alongside some incredible creatives: photographers, stylists and of course my super talented illustrator friend, lovely Amy Swann.

By way of an introduction to my wedding calligraphy work, I’ve picked out three favourite collections from photoshoots with some amazing talents. I’d urge you to check out all of these suppliers for your day – every single one comes with a heartfelt recommendation from me!

All of these calligraphy invitation designs can be ordered as bespoke stationery pieces for your 2021 wedding, so please get in touch if you’re interested in something along these lines. You can contact me about your wedding stationery at calligrapherclaire@gmail.com

Hey lovelies! I have exciting news today – we’ve just announced another FOUR modern calligraphy workshops in lovely Nantwich. For those of you who don’t already know, I’m a calligrapher when I’m not writing the English Wedding Blog – and over the next few months I’m going to be a busy bee teaching some lovely festive classes!

In collaboration with The Little Paper Shop, we’ve just announced two new dates – 2nd November and 7th December.

Join me in their lovely workshop for beginners modern calligraphy and brush pen lettering in November, and then for a more festive class we’ll be back with another beginners calligraphy workshop and a full-on Christmas calligraphy workshop on December 7th.

Book both sessions on either day and SAVE!

It’s going to be lovely, sparkly, creative and relaxing – the perfect crafty day for you and your mum or your bridesmaids – and after this you’ll have everything you need to get your wedding DIY on and write your own invitations, place names, signage and seating plans!
