This was a photoshoot to celebrate light and romance. We were lucky enough to have been given full use of the beautiful orangery at Downham Hall, which allowed natural light to flood in from almost every angle, with fairy lights and candles providing a soft romantic ambiance. On our tables we had cut glass and crystal candle holders and vases; arranged on white sequin table linen, they all worked perfectly together to reflect all the different aspects of light and create more depth to the images. The use of soft fabrics for both the brides dress and veil, and the chair covers added that dreamy romantic feel we were looking for.

We had a lovely cake table with a tall glitter-adorned cake and accompanying delicate edible treats, each with small touches of blush pink to compliment the fresh flower arrangements also on the table.

Our colour palette included soft, natural blush tones. We wanted a light and airy romantic look, so needed to avoid any dark, bold colours. We then added details of gold, including cutlery and flower bowls, to achieve a more contemporary look.

Roses were the obvious choice to create the luxury romantic style we were after. The use of several variations of white and blush-pink roses were included, arranged in a contemporary yet relaxed style. The asparagus, eucalyptus and soft ruscus foliage really softened the look, adding a whimsical charm. Our florist chose “Norma Jean” roses and Pink Stock, both of which have the most incredible scent, leaving the bride with unforgettable memories of her day.
