Timeless Elegance - a classic pink wedding editorial from Old Brook Barn (20)

Lovely Hayley Jayne explains how she created the beautiful look for the photoshoot:

Working with a classic colour palette of soft pink and accents of luxury gold tones, I wanted to offer inspiration to couples planning a romantic & refined wedding day.

Using an abundance of peonies in the palest shade of pink and additional styling elements such as hand dyed silk ribbon, cut glass vessels, tapered candles and exquisite handmade cotton rag table stationery. Which, when combined create the perfect backdrop for an elegant & timeless wedding day.

If there was ever a time for doing things differently, it’s right now. Elopements have been creeping in popularity for a handful of years. Styled elopements like this one can inspire us all to place marriage and commitment before the massive party we call a wedding. So here’s an option for you: book a registrar and a photographer, and go get this done. You’ll be married, and you can still celebrate in style when social distancing is nothing more than a memory.

Good morning, lovely! Enjoy the beauty you’re about to see! With love,

Light and romance with natural blush tones - wedding ideas from Downham Hall. Photographer credit Magical Moments Photography (9)

This was a photoshoot to celebrate light and romance. We were lucky enough to have been given full use of the beautiful orangery at Downham Hall, which allowed natural light to flood in from almost every angle, with fairy lights and candles providing a soft romantic ambiance. On our tables we had cut glass and crystal candle holders and vases; arranged on white sequin table linen, they all worked perfectly together to reflect all the different aspects of light and create more depth to the images. The use of soft fabrics for both the brides dress and veil, and the chair covers added that dreamy romantic feel we were looking for.

I’m a HUGE fan of blues in wedding decor, and I love today’s feature to bits! The soft blue tones are just wonderful, and the photography absolutely perfect. I need all those fabulous florals in my life right now!

As joint co-ordinators, hair stylist Jennie and photographer Laura came up with the concept for the shoot, which took place at Apton Hall in Essex. They focused primarily on the Pantone colour of the year – blue, and the idea of hinting toward an eco-friendly wedding. They began involving other wedding suppliers and the idea behind an environmental wedding grew into this beauty of an editorial. I’ll hand over to the girls to tell you more!

With love,

Laura photographed the day in her usual light & airy look, aiming to portray a romantic-luxe feel, and timeless beauty in a floaty boho-style. Laura’s images are created using natural light, showing romance and beauty, which appeal to many Brides for its elegant and relaxed nature. We both agreed that we wanted to show genuine emotion and for our models to portray ‘fun on their wedding day’, so we made efforts to have our couples laugh and enjoy the simple elements of a real wedding.

Good morning, beautiful! I’m happy to say we have a week full of beautiful inspiration to share with you – and I’m so excited! We kick off with two wonderful elopement features today and tomorrow, then it’s two gorgeous real weddings and some fabulous ideas-led features to inspire your big day. So stick around – it’s going to be the loveliest week!

Today we’re all about modern elopements. This is most definitely a Thing: I LOVE elopement stories: one of my best friends eloped last week! I’d encourage anyone thinking about a romantic elopement to indulge in a little styling, and so today’s feature is for all of you brides who’d like to incorporate a clean and contemporary look with your elopement planning.

Taking inspiration from a classic Oxfordshire countryside manor, this shoot captures the romance and beauty of an English rose marrying her true love. Combining traditional elements with modern features and luxury handmade details, the shoot brings together the principal elements of a modern couple in a traditional setting. With a colour palette of lavender and sage, and hints of silver and copper, reflecting the rich colours of the stunning Oxfordshire gardens.

Morning lovely! I hope you’re having an easy day 🙂 It’s miserable up here in the Lakes (although I’m happily submerged in calligraphy work – yay!), so I’m delighted to be filling our screens with joyful colour and a light and fragrant summer wedding edit today. The florals are just STUNNING – and I’m totally in love with the Watters Wtoo gown with all its sparkle and swishiness! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the fabulous cake… it’s a winner in every single way and I’m thrilled to be sharing this with you all! Get those Pinterest fingers ready, my lovelies!

The concept for the shoot was a bright and contemporary use of décor and styling for a young modern bride who embraced her love of all things bold, bright and creative, yet wanted to keep things pretty, feminine and natural. Images are by Laura Jane Photography and the shoot was planned and styled by Party Squared with fabulous florals by Miss Fleur Floral Design, who submitted the shoot for us to share.

The Menagerie Photography Railway Barn wedding editorial on English Wedding Blog (13)

So how was your weekend? We survived a brilliant sten do at a mini festival close to home – it was absolutely fantastic, but oops… I’m a little more ‘bronzed’ than I’d like to be right now!! I’m currently enjoying a lovely breeze in my little studio office as I bring you today’s beautiful inspo feature. This is the work of a fabulously creative bunch of Essex wedding suppliers, and promises to bring a touch of cool to your screens, wherever you may be on this super hot day! I just love the ultra modern wedding cake and eye-catching stationery pieces – it’s all just gorgeous. Lovely Jenna from Wonderland Invites, who styled the shoot, is here to tell you more.

The Menagerie Photography Railway Barn wedding editorial on English Wedding Blog (30)

The Railway Barn at Newhall Vineyards in Essex is a perfect blank canvas venue. With whitewashed brick walls and concrete floors, the space allows for a bride and groom’s creativity to run wild. As a supplier, I wanted to showcase a modern, industrial styled shoot, to show a slightly different way in which the space could be used for a wedding.

Coastal wedding style ideas from fine art photographer Kathryn Hopkins (21)

I’ll never be perfect. In fact, I never want to be. I’m not a perfect hair, make up, anything kind of girl. I like my life to be windswept and I practically live with sand in my shoes… I would like to think my wedding would be along those lines too! So when I see a shoot like this one, I fall head over heels in love.

Those of you who have already read the English Wedding Bible will have spotted our cover photographer Kathryn Hopkins. She’s amazing – a brilliant person who really made my 2017 calligraphy projects special and exciting. Her style aligns so beautifully with mine – the calligraphy pieces I designed for this shoot are some of my favourites and have inspired some beautiful bespoke wedding orders thanks to our feature on Magnolia Rouge last year!

Today’s styled shoot is gorgeous and adorable and so very, very inspiring! I adore the feel of a relaxed but super glamorous 1930s house party – it’s simply fabulous and with Mabel the Boston Terrier modelling as ‘best man’ for the day, the cute factor totally wins my heart!

1930s true vintage wedding styling from Sprivers Mansion in Kent, with Sandra Reddin Photography (12)

Words & images by lovely Sandra Reddin Photography (based in London)

“All of the elements for this 30’s style shoot fell into place quite naturally once we got the okay from the venue. Sprivers Mansion in Kent is a characterful and elegant Georgian house and both myself and stylist/florist Gwenda Jeffs had worked there before on weddings. So, we were thrilled to get the go ahead as we wanted the images to be full of glamour and Sprivers is the perfect setting for a vintage themed shoot with its ornate fireplaces and crystal chandeliers.
