Hey lovely! We’re having a week full of weddings – it’s an absolute dream on the blog for me, and today’s couple Katie & Laurie are just stunning! They married in the Cotswolds and lovely Alicia from Red Maple Photography was there to capture their day. (I’m proud to say Red Maple Photography is an English Wedding member!) I LOVE all the styling touches by Kirsten from The Little Wedding Helper – and Wild & Co’s flowers are absolutely breathtaking. There’s a full supplier list below, and you can read all of Katie & Laurie’s reviews and recommendations in their English Wedding interview right here!
Good morning, lovely! If you’re dreaming of your 2021 wedding I have the most wonderful styling ideas for you today, courtesy of a talented team of wedding creatives who joined forces for this editorial photoshoot at Downham Hall. Huge thanks to lovely Rebecca from RT Cakes who sent us this stunning submission! All images are by Magical Moments Photography.
Enjoy the beauty you’re about to see! With love,
So how’s that first day back at work going?! For me it’s a good one – I’ve packed and posted seven calligraphy orders already, my desk is almost clear – and I only have 70 or so emails in my inbox to reply to! [wedding photographers and suppliers – Our tier 1 & 2 advertising packages are HALF PRICE in January if you’re looking to get noticed on here! Click for more info]… My cat is snuggled up in his bowl next to me; it’s blowing a hoolie outside and I’m nice and warm in my little studio! Oh, and before I forget (haha)… I have the LOVELIEST real wedding to kick off our 2020!
Becky and Dan’s vintage DIY wedding is perfect, gloriously happy and colourful, and just seems so full of character and fun! Becky describes their day as “Completely DIY and disorganised! Perfect for us!” – and I love it. They tied the knot in church, then had afternoon tea in the scout hut next door and their evening reception was on the local bowling green! The gorgeous pics by Yorkshire wedding photographer Stevie Jay capture the spirit of their day brilliantly – what a fabulous, eclectic and fun couple! Congrats guys, you ROCK!

If you’re looking to incorporate bright, vibrant colours into your wedding styling and need a theme to tie it all together, peacocks are the perfect inspiration. Wedding trends come and go, but peacock styling ideas are revisited and reinvented every season – this is one of my absolute favourites using fabulously colourful florals, coloured table decorations and glitter art for a whole new dimension of wedding make up art! Lovely Sarah Wayte shared her images with us, and Karen Luxford, the talented planner who coordinated this editorial photoshoot, tells us a little more. It all takes place at Moor Hall wedding venue, and there’s a full list of the brilliant Essex wedding suppliers involved at the end of the blog post!
