Charlotte and Dexter’s elegant, simple, Coombe Lodge wedding, with Ryan Goold Photography
It has been a whirlwind of a week here at English Wedding HQ! I’ve typed up a 105-page modern calligraphy workbook, written a gold ink wedding table plan and menus for a November wedding, and planned in a bunch of gorgeous real weddings for the autumn – so I’m mega happy it’s Friday today! Having gorgeous couple Charlotte and Dexter on the blog makes it even more special – this is an AMAZING wedding and I just know you’ll love these two – I mean just look at this stunning golden hour photo!!!
All of their styling touches are minimal, neutral and clear – the cake is an absolute showstopper – created by Bake My Cake, it has all neutral tiers, but one tier to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Topped with handmade sugar flowers, and with a personalised crest with Charlotte and Dexter’s initials on one tier, it’s just beautiful!

Ryan Goold is a local friendly photographer who comes with a wonderful reputation and lots of recommendations.
The Albus Dumbledore of the camera world, Ryan was extremely helpful as soon as we booked with him. He was more than just our photographer at the wedding, he was a great friend too, helping in any way he could. He was a best man, a bridesmaid, an usher and and organiser all in one.
He made the day relaxed and run smoothly.
His eye for detail and a great picture is second to none and it is amazing what he can do with a camera.
The shots and emotions he captured were unbelievable.
People say if you can bottle the emotion of the day then you would. With Ryan’s pictures you re live the emotions and feelings.
Extremely happy with the presentation of the final product and it’s easy to why Ryan has built up such a professional and stellar reputation for himself in the South West

I asked Charlotte and Dexter for a few words of wisdom to share with you all – and I love their answers!
- You’re never going to please everyone… so make sure you please yourselves!
- Donât send out your save the dates too early (as we found out your friendships can change…)
- Donât invite people just because you feel you have to or because you feel theyâre expecting it. Donât invite people just because you were invited to their wedding etc.
- The day is about you and everyone is there to help you, so make the most of them! You feel like a celebrity for a few days and you should milk it!!
Whatâs the best thing about being married?
Relationship grows stronger and knowing your going to share your future with someone! And wearing a wedding band !
