Happy Wednesday, you lovely you! It’s been a week of amazing weddings so far… and today’s is a shining star of a celebration which I just know you’ll adore. Stunning couple Kirsty & Ben were married in Devon on a glorious sunny day. Their day is fun, elegant and full of romance, with moments to make you smile and details to make you swoon! Kirsty’s dress is from Prudence Gowns, and Ben’s suit from Moss Bros. The lovely couple chose our friend and Somerset wedding photographer Simon Biffen Photography to capture their day.

We looked at several photographers online but loved Simon’s beautiful photographs and relaxed unposed style. He is also a friend so we knew we could trust him to do a great job.

Let’s fill our Friday with a real wedding – and a blast of colour, fun, love and joy with our gorgeous couple Lauren & Lewis. These two chose Thornton Manor’s Lakeside Marquee to celebrate their love, with elements of Chinese and Malaysian culture bringing the party to life! Images are by Jules Fortune Photography, who gets a glowing review from the happy couple.

Months of searching online and recommendations, we wanted a natural vibe to our pictures with nothing too staged, and when we found Jules we knew she was exactly what we were looking for.

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!

We absolutely adored working with Jules! We aren’t fans of staged photos and she managed to capture the whole day magically, from an entirely candid perspective. Jules got in and amongst us, without us really even noticing she was there. She made us feel relaxed and her warm and lovely personality made her a delight to have at our special day.

Happy Sunday, lovelies! I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend – and staying toasty warm, wherever you are! Today we have a pretty wedding from Woodhall Manor in Suffolk. Bride Cara looks beautiful in a sleeveless, lace embroidered dress by Ronald Joyce. Handsome hubby Chris and their nearest and dearest kept it quiet that they’d arranged for Cara’s horse Nero to be brought to the venue on the day, as she’d always dreamed of having him there on her wedding day! The photos, needless to say, are just wonderful. They’re by our lovely friend and English Wedding member Ayshea Goldberg Photography.

I met Ayshea at a wedding fayre and loved the natural relaxed feel of the photos she had taken so I made an appointment with Chris to meet at her gallery to discuss what we wanted and he instantly fell in love with her images too

Morning lovelies! I have a fun and unique blog to share with you today – all based around the idea of a couple eloping – and taking their beloved dog with them! This is soooo cute and I just love the idea. I’m all for elopements anyway (it’s totally what I’d do!) and the addition of Indy the Hungarian Vizla just makes this all the more adorable.

Images are by Iconik Photography, the venue is Trenderway Weddings and the day was styled and planned by Hannah’s Weddings & Events. The lovely film of the day is by Kate Fierek. See the full supplier list below!

Natalie from Iconik Photography told me, “A dog can be very much part of the family and therefore should play an important part in life’s important events! Elopements are the ideal way of shaking off the “frills” of a large wedding and concentrating on just the two of you. Very much your wedding your way!

It has been a whirlwind of a week here at English Wedding HQ! I’ve typed up a 105-page modern calligraphy workbook, written a gold ink wedding table plan and menus for a November wedding, and planned in a bunch of gorgeous real weddings for the autumn – so I’m mega happy it’s Friday today! Having gorgeous couple Charlotte and Dexter on the blog makes it even more special – this is an AMAZING wedding and I just know you’ll love these two – I mean just look at this stunning golden hour photo!!!

All of their styling touches are minimal, neutral and clear – the cake is an absolute showstopper – created by Bake My Cake, it has all neutral tiers, but one tier to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Topped with handmade sugar flowers, and with a personalised crest with Charlotte and Dexter’s initials on one tier, it’s just beautiful!

Gate Street Barn wedding blog with Jessica Grace Photography (18)

Beautiful bride Hana married Alex at Gate Street Barn on the scorching bank holiday last August. Despite the drama of a street fair trying to stop the bride’s car getting to the church (something that could only happen in the Surrey countryside!) the day was filled with so many laughs and so much love. With a gorgeous summer evening sunset, and the bride and groom recreating the iconic Dirty Dancing routine as their first dance, it is safe to day that they had the time of their lives!

Cornwall wedding blog with Alexa Poppe Photography at The Green (15)

Happy Monday everyone! I thought we’d kick off this week with a really special wedding – one with the loveliest personal touches and a gorgeous bride and groom, in not-so-sunny Cornwall! Proof if ever it was needed that rain won’t spoil your wedding – because the memories captured and the landscape and styling of Chris and Lorna’s day are all so beautiful.

It was forecast to rain all day for Lorna and Chris’ wedding in Cornwall which was a bit of a worry for me as the photographer as well for the couple, but we must have been in a ‘magic pocket’ as the heavy rain turned into slight drizzle for a few hours just when we left St Sampson’s church after the ceremony to head to The Green for the reception and photos. The venue was only a few miles from where Lorna spent her childhood and she loved the familiar scenery. Although the setting was countryside, Lorna and Chris wanted to incorporate a few personal touches related to their connections to sailing- they both wore their sailing boots for the photos in the field. As the weather was very unpredictable Lorna’s mother’s parasol which she had on her wedding day came to good use!

Let’s start this week on a high, shall we? Gorgeous Katherine and Nick’s wedding at Cleatham Hall has everything: the most amazing bouquet, a breathtaking dress and the loveliest of details to share with you. It’s fabulous and the perfect pick me up for all of our Mondays!!

Katherine’s interview is ace – don’t miss it at the end of the blog post if you’re getting married this year. I love her words of wisdom: “Stay true to both your styles and choose the things that you like . Everyone says ‘it will always come together ‘ when you are at your most stressed times with planning and they are so right. After the day, you’ll have no idea why you were so worried.”

“From the moment we met Richard and Christine we knew they were the photographers for us. They were so warm, friendly and honest. Our engagement shoot- although nerve wracking – produced such stunning images and we are overjoyed with our wedding images.

Not always, but most times – a bride finds ‘The One’. That dream dress which fits her very soul. Sarah’s One is worthy of the spotlight in this divine wedding photo of the week. The image has everything: it encapsulates the beauty of a bride on her wedding day. Wow.

Kelly and Phil’s springtime wedding has some of the loveliest touches I’ve seen – it’s a beautiful day with fabulous colours, and I know you’ll love it. Kelly and Phil chose a rustic, woodland style for their day.

The ceremony and reception were held at Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire, and in the wedding report at the end of today’s feature Kelly and Phil have shared links to some fabulous local suppliers.

Kelly looks absolutely amazing in her Ronald Joyce wedding gown, and I adore her bridal look – there’s an image towards the end of the feature with the newlyweds sat on a wall in the venue’s grounds where you can see the full length of the dress, and it’s so incredibly beautiful…

Hollie and Tim’s wedding is adorable! I can imagine being there… so much to see, so many gorgeous little details and quirky countryside touches. They had a September wedding at Hellens Manor, a historic country home with the most magical gardens and a charming barn for wedding receptions. There are dozens of images to share with you – I love the lanterns and every little thing just looks amazing… not to mention the most gorgeous bride and handsome groom!

Lovely wedding photographer Amy (Amy Taylor Imaging Photography) emailed and told me “fab bride Hollie worked so hard putting together her country vintage look, right down to hand frosting all the jam jar lamps herself after collecting from friends and family all year to get enough! They are a cracking couple whose wedding day was so much fun it would be lovely to share 🙂

I’m delighted to be able to share Hollie and Tim’s rustic barn wedding on the English Wedding Blog today and I hope you’ll love it every bit as much as I do! Enjoy!

I loved Mark and Sarah’s wedding when I first saw the photos on my friend and sponsor Martin Price’s wedding photography blog. I asked if I could share them with you, and he said yes! What’s more, Sarah has written an amazing wedding report to share with you (at the end of the blog feature) which is full of ideas and recommendations.

wedding in Beaconsfield photographer Martin Price (1) Today’s lovely couple were married in Buckinghamshire. Their wedding in Beaconsfield is traditional and charming with some very personal touches – the personalised board for the cake is fab, and I love the bubbles they had for the wedding reception. Oh! And don’t miss Sarah’s explanation of table names… cities the engagement ring travelled to in Mark’s pocket before he got around to proposing! I love that story 🙂
wedding in Beaconsfield photographer Martin Price (2) With huge thanks to beautiful bride Sarah, and to her lovely hubby Mark, for sharing their story with us all on the blog today. Thanks also to lovely Martin – aka Martin Price Photography – for sending all the lovely images. Everyone – enjoy! Claire xxx
