Today’s wedding style inspiration is just fabulous – the dress steals the show, it was Jen’s actual dress from her wedding to Elliott in 2019 – a custom design based on a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown, brought to life by Nicole at Elise Designs. Jen’s childhood hobby was designing wedding dresses and this was her dream dress – I think we can safely say it’s ours too?!

As Elopements and intimate weddings take a centre seat in 2020 and beyond, I wanted to share just how beautiful a celebration for two (or maybe a couple more) can be. It doesn’t have to break the bank to be beautiful and unique. This lakeside elopement inspiration could have been in any destination in the world…but with the right wedding professionals – this sunset celebration of love was capable in the heart of Yorkshire.
Today we have a dreamy photoshoot to lighten your hearts, with the most wonderful neutral via blush via pale coral colour tones. It’s all kinds of stunning and I’m hugely grateful to lovely Louise from Your Fabulous Wedding for sharing this shoot. Before I go… a fabulous elopement shoot which is food for thought as well. This is from lovely Courage & Dash – and I adore the quietness and beauty of it all.
We are inspired by the quiet elegance of English weddings, particularly casual, homely ones which feature personal touches, particularly English antiques and trinkets. We enter the day at the point where the couple is pausing to catch their breaths and reflect: the newly-married couple is back at the family home, spending some quiet moments together and soaking in the day.
