I adore this wedding. Bolton Abbey is amazing – what a superb location for gorgeous, memorable wedding photos, don’t you think?! Today’s gorgeous bride Vicky’s couture dress is stunning; I love Howard’s outfit, they just look perfect together. And the festoon lighting and sparklers… absolutely incredible. LOVE it all!!!

I chose my dress which was from Lyn Ashworth by Sarah Barrett as I loved her lace detail. I didn’t find a specific dress that had all the elements I wanted but the Lyn Ashworth collection gives you the option to pick one element from one dress and add it to another dress which was perfect. I put all my favorite elements together and made a bespoke dress that I absolutely loved and felt amazing in.

Our reception venue was tepees in the grounds of the bride’s parents house. We personally decorated the tepees with bunting and paper lanterns and also added fairy lighting and festoon lighting, disco ball, a rustic gift table, love sign and photograph wall of the hen and stag dos.

Who would have thought that elopements would be trending in 2014? We certainly haven’t fallen out of love with the romance of running away to be married, and I’m delighted to be able to share Chris and Gil’s vintage elopement photos with you today.

They’re a creative, fun and gorgeous couple who eloped to New York – what an amazing idea, right?! On their return to the UK they were looking for an alternative wedding photographer to capture some shots of them, and David from Vogue Shot fit the bill perfectly!

David told me “Their vintage style (both outfits are genuine 2nd hand vintage clothes) and unique character made them a delight to photograph. The old ruins and beautiful landscape around Bolton Abbey fitted well with the style of vintage wedding photography I had in mind. It was a cold day but with Gil wrapped up in her fur coat and Chris in his tweed suit they were more than prepared for the day and ready to have some fun! They are a genuine lovely couple with such a kind and loving nature and I know that they will have many, many happy years together.
