As you may know, I write calligraphy for weddings when I’m not in my blogging shoes, and the last couple of weeks have been super busy with some updates to my collections.

I have had my little Etsy shop since 2013 and in that time I’ve written for hundreds of couples’ weddings. But some of my wedding stationery had been on there the whole time – yes, the whole entire seven years – and was beginning to look a little 1990s around the edges. (I might be overly critical; maths sure as hell ain’t my thing. But yeah, it looked OLD!)

Morning lovelies! A short and sweet blog feature today, as I put final touches to our Christmas blog features and whizz around in my calligraphy studio making little gift sets for my Not On The High Street customers! If you’re looking for an extra gift for someone with crafty talents, stationery lovers or anyone planning a DIY wedding, I have an idea to help you!

My modern calligraphy workshops in March and April are selling quickly! I’ve been sending out gift vouchers with all sorts of Christmassy tags and lettering – and I have a few left if you’d like one!

Hey lovely! I spent yesterday playing with my brush pens, as I’m heading to lovely Nantwich for a day of calligraphy fun at the weekend! I’ll be at The Little Paper Shop (in their gorgeous new home!) all day, and we still have a few places left for brush pen lettering in the afternoon. I’ve splashed out on a few water brush pens for the afternoon – and I just can’t stop playing with them! They’re the LOVELIEST thing!

Good morning! I hope you’ve had the most wonderful weekend. Today I just can’t resist sharing some of the beautiful images lovely Zehra Jagani sent to me a day or two ago. These are from a wedding inspiration shoot which I supplied calligraphy for. The shoot was published on Brides Up North over the summer.

The epic shoot these came from had a Provençal flavour, with dreamy eucalyptus and soft blues and greys – and florals to die for! I love the colours of the calligraphy for a winter wedding though: the soft tones and delicate papers work beautifully for a modern wedding in the colder half of the year.

I really hope you don’t mind, lovelies – I have a little announcement to make with my calligrapher hat on – and I know a few of you have seen my calligraphy workshops on English Wedding and come along – and it’s been fabulous to meet you all!

I’m actually a little bit sad to say that October’s modern calligraphy workshop at Manchester Craft & Design centre is going to be my last one for the forseeable future at this venue. Join me one last time on Friday the 11th of October for a beginners calligraphy class – I promise you will have the loveliest time here – it’s a wonderful place and a fun, happy afternoon!
