So I think I’ve just about recovered from the bank holiday weekend.. and I have the sweetest, happiest wedding to share with you today!

Louise & Mark’s Devon wedding is vintage with a touch of boho – and tons of excitement and fun! From the moments before the ceremony I was hooked – and seeing Mark carry her down the aisle after they say their vows is just magical! The celebrations really kick in as guests travel together on a vintage bus to the reception venue. It’s a brilliant way for guests to get to know each other and really gets the party vibe going!

Louise’s vintage inspired knee length dress is just perfect for her – don’t miss the first dance part of the video, which makes this bride absolutely SHINE!

As you’ll see from their highlights film below, it was a magical ceremony too at St James church, Teignmouth.

It’s true that the biggest regret of newlyweds is NOT having a wedding video. (According to Bridebook 75% of couples go on to regret it)!

Not investing in a professional wedding videographer is the no.1 regret of so many couples, but why?

So yes, I (Charlene) am a wedding videographer and this may seem like a totally biased post so let me share my personal experience too.

We nearly didn’t have a wedding video. We were weeks away and I was getting ever so nervous that we would go on to regret not having our very own wedding video.

My husband, like a lot of us, was very anti wedding video. His comparison was it being similar to a Peter Andre ITV2 documentary having cameras follow us around and annoying all the guests.

For me it was genuinely hating hearing and seeing myself on screen. I hate my voice! BUT, having seen the value in old home movies I hoped I could essentially get over myself so we could have our very own home movie!

So, you’re getting married. Yay! Congratulations! The next few months of organising are going to be some of the most stressful and exciting times of your life to date. You’ve got so, so much to do. But, hopefully, you’re going to have amazing fun doing it. Because, even if it doesn’t all go 100% to plan, it’s still going to be fabulous…

It would be nice though, wouldn’t it? If it all went to plan? If the dress is as you’ve dreamed it. The venue is like a fairy tale. The band are entertainers as much as they are performers. The speeches are made before everyone gets too tipsy and your brother doesn’t mention that thing, that you just know that he’s going to. That the cake is perfect. And that the photographer manages to capture everyone. Nicely.

You spend hours; days and weeks meticulously planning every detail of your wedding so that it’s the perfect day for you. You hunt down the most beautiful venue, choose the tastiest menu and pick a killer playlist, ensuring the day is handcrafted to your liking.

Charlotte and Chris’s beautiful Woodhill Hall wedding video, by GetFilm

It goes without saying that your wedding video should be all about you too. Some say the best way to get the most true-to-yourself wedding video is to shoot it yourself, but I for one know that, on my wedding day, I wouldn’t want to be holding the camera, worrying about sound volumes and getting the most flattering angles, and I certainly wouldn’t want my guests to be either.

While capturing the perfect wedding video that you’ll love to re-watch for years to come is very important, the happy couple and their guests should be completely immersed in every moment of the big day.

Just one look at Rachael’s gorgeous dress and I was hooked on this stunning wedding from Huntsham Court. Lovely English Wedding Directory member Justina from HD Moments shared it with us, and I hope you will love watching it as much as I do!

As a wedding videographer, my work takes me to several places, but one of my favorite places is London – even when the weather is freezing, it is lovely to click wedding pictures there. As a London wedding videographer, I was tasked to document the winter wedding of Rachael and Josh at Huntsham Court.

The “made for each other” pair!

In this Huntsham court wedding video, you can clearly witness the joy and happiness of Rachael and Josh – they are finally solidifying their bond of love, and it is a surreal feeling, as they told me. The bride looks remarkable in her attire – the outfit she picked out flattered her curves in the right way, and suited her marvelously. The hair, accessories, and shoes were picked out with a lot of thought – everything matched with the overall theme of the wedding. The groom wasn’t to be outdone – he too looked fit and dapper in his suit. He carried it off with confidence and his eagerness was apparent in his demeanor. He couldn’t wait to meet his soon-to-be-wife at the altar.
