Hi everyone! How are you today? I’m on my fourth coffee having just discovered the genius trick of mixing hot chocolate powder in with it. Just gorgeous, try it!! …but not as gorgeous as today’s real wedding blog and fab couple Lisa and Kieran. They married at Dorset’s finest wedding venue (imho) Athelhampton House. It’s a 15th century manor with tons of character and the perfect choice for a traditional English wedding with a dash of vintage.

All the photos are by lovely wedding photographer Ben Pipe, with the exception of the three photos of Lisa’s handmade wedding invitation, table plan and alternative guest book. (What should I be calling a guest book which isn’t a guest book?! I’ve no idea!) She told me they were a labour of love and the invitations alone took more than 30 hours… but worth every second 🙂

Congratulations Lisa and Kieran, and thank you so much for being utterly fabulous and sharing your wedding day on the English Wedding Blog. Thanks to Ben Pipe too for the lovely wedding photos. Everyone – enjoy! Claire x

I’m just trying to remember who was the last celebrity to feature on the English Wedding Blog. There haven’t been many, safe to say! Eric Morecambe in today’s seaside wedding is quite possibly the coolest – see what you think: we’ve had David Mitchell (from Mitchell & Webb), the ex lead singer from 70s punk band The Stranglers, and Kirstie Allsopp. That’s probably about it.

seaside wedding blog Jonathan Bean (1)

(David Mitchell was a wedding guest on a blog feature last year. The Stranglers’ singer wasn’t in any photos, and Kirstie Allsopp just wrote a book my calligraphy was in. So yeah, I’m stretching the truth here! Oh – did I mention Eric Morecambe appears here in statue form? Hehe.)

seaside wedding blog Jonathan Bean (2)

To be honest I’m not into celeb culture – I don’t read magazines very often and I’m rarely aware of anything Kim Kardashian does. I don’t think I’m missing anything! The glamorous couples I’d rather read about are the brides and grooms who appear on the English Wedding Blog – like today’s star couple Charlotte and Phil. They were married at Morecambe’s fabulous Midland Hotel, an internationally renowned art deco wedding venue. Their seaside wedding has oodles of personality and style – you’re going to love it!

What a fantastic quote from today’s gorgeous bride Katie! I love it. Vintage, countryside and rustic weddings are definitely the biggest trend I’m seeing from all of your real weddings right now. But Matt and Katie went all out with their theme and style and created a really amazing tipi wedding day. “As country bumpkin as possible”? It’s how I’m living my life for the whole of 2013… so this is right up my street!

The styling and general decor all looks fantastic. Katie and Matt have made it look easy – and the wedding tents are lovely and welcoming, pretty and full of special touches which make their tipi wedding a very personal one.

Congratulations and big thank yous to an amazing couple. Matt, Katie – your wedding report is fab. Your photos are brilliant. You look beautiful (yes, both of you!) and like a match made in heaven. Thanks ever so much for sharing your wedding on the English Wedding Blog today! With special thanks as well to wedding photographer Barrie Downie for sharing his lovely images of today’s tipi wedding blog too. Everyone – enjoy! Claire xxx

I’ve just been out for a little walk down to the beach and been mobbed by butterflies! Dozens of them wherever I looked – what an amazing thing! Anyway – I made it back alive so I can share Stephanie and Michael’s Rushton Hall wedding with you. The phrase “best man bingo” tickles me, as is the thought of the heckling table! I also love their idea of giving away goodie bags with crisps and chocolate at the end of the night instead of wedding favours – genius.

Thanks to wedding photographer Aaron Collett for sharing today’s gorgeous wedding pictures on the blog. Stephanie is beautiful and Michael her perfect match – the smiles say it all (and I’m smiling right back while I prepare the blog feature for you!) Congratulations guys, and thanks for your amazing wedding report. I love it!

Everyone – enjoy. This is a fab wedding with some great ideas. Don’t miss the wedding report at the end of the feature. Have a brilliant day!

Morning everyone! What a week it’s been – do you have lovely plans for the weekend? I hope so 🙂 I’m happy to be sharing a really wonderful wedding on the blog today and I hope you’ll love it. Claire and Damon were married in Surrey – their wedding at Wotton House made the most of an elegant and classical 17th century English country home. The images show a perfect wedding day, and bride Claire is breathtakingly beautiful.

I’d love to begin today’s wedding blog with a quote from beautiful bride Izabel. She told me, “The day was beautiful and everything that we wanted it to be. It was a reflection of us to the letter.

very personal wedding blog UK Tony Gameiro (1)

My years as a top UK wedding blogger have shown me over and over and over again that the very best thing a wedding can have is personality. And Izabel and Shane wove their own journey as a couple into their wedding in beautiful and touching ways: “Glass bottle coke and humous, our go to nibbles and drinks in the early days of our getting together. Coffee and ice cream, the two things we walked across London for as we started dating. East London and the Regent’s Canal, our home and the place we began. We really wanted the day to show my Filipino and Dutch heritage as well as Shane’s Irish and Welsh background. Everyone thought we chose our wedding colours, green, orange, grey because of the Irish and Dutch, but that only occurred to us later in the planning process. All aspects of the day just had meaning to us and our story and our family and guest really got the day and our story.”

Hey again! How are you? As I sit to blog today’s feature wedding I can remember the first time I saw Natalie and Gareth’s photos and I would love for you to share the whole experience with me… so if you fancy it, listen along to the soundtrack with me! Wedding photographer Tracy Morter got in touch and told me their first dance was to Jack Johnson’s ‘Better Together’ – a song I love to bits! So click on the song title to listen while you scroll through the photos and read Natalie and Gareth’s wedding report 🙂 I’m listening as I type!

It’s another beautiful wedding too – with a stunning Amanda Wyatt dress, stationery by wedding blog favourites Artcadia and a focus on celebration, food, entertainment and dancing… just a perfect wedding! The venue is The Boatyard restaurant in Leigh On Sea (Essex) and all the images are by my friend and fab photographer Tracy Morter.

Hello everyone! Are you sitting comfortably? I’ve been looking forward to showing you the photos of Laura and Peter’s very pretty vintage wedding from May. There are plenty of special touches and ideas which I know you’ll love, and I think Laura and Peter’s wedding report is pretty inspiring as well. pretty vintage wedding by Linus Moran Photography (1)

Best bits for me, in a nutshell, are the gorgeous bride and handsome groom (of course!) and the pretty details – lovely flowers and dinky jam jars with cute labels. I also love the pictures of the game of football in evening sunlight. (Top tip for ushers: take a ball or two to the wedding just in case!) And I would love to hear your comments for Laura and Peter at the end of today’s feature. What do you make of their choreographed dance? The guests who were stood on chairs and tables watching seem to love it!pretty vintage wedding by Linus Moran Photography (2)

I can’t really beat Kayleigh’s quote as an introduction to today’s real wedding blog! The happiest day ever is just what everyone dreams their wedding will be – and honestly, from all the comments I hear from you lovely blog readers, it usually turns out to be pretty damn perfect!

Dodford Manor wedding blog Aaron Collett Photography (1)

Kayleigh and Will were married at Dodford Manor in March. They had an intimate wedding with a relaxed and natural atmosphere. Dodford Manor is a converted barn (in Northamptonshire) which needs little decoration, and is one of those enchanting English wedding venues you can fall in love with from the photographs alone!

Kayleigh, Will – thank you ever so much for sharing, and huge congratulations to you both. You’re a gorgeous couple and just look so happy together you had me smiling all the way through your wedding images! Credit for those goes to the lovely Aaron Collett Photography. You’ll love them, so grab a cuppa and dive in! Enjoy. Claire xxx

Hi again lovely people! I have a treat in store for you all this morning – a 1950s inspired Cambridgeshire wedding with VW Campervan, wildflowers, cupcakes and 7 tiers of cheese, awesome dance moves and the proudest dad… you’re going to love this!

Vintage Cambridgeshire wedding blog Paul Rogers Photography (1)

Kirsten and Neal were inspired to create a vintage wedding with pale pink and blue details. Kirsten’s ankle length Ian Stuart gown (is there nothing this man can’t do to perfection, I ask you?!) is divine! And Neal looks pretty damn good in his tailor made suit by A Suit That Fits – let’s just say the pair of them are amazing together!

Vintage Cambridgeshire wedding blog Paul Rogers Photography (2)

The wedding was at Madingley Hall, just four miles from the centre of Cambridge and a magnificent venue – Wikipedia tells me it’s a former royal residence and dates back to the 16th century – the photographs are fabulous and will show you so much more of this impressive English wedding venue. Huge thanks go to London wedding photographer Paul Rogers for submitting such a brilliant wedding to share with us all today! I hope you love it as much as I do. Everyone – enjoy. Claire x

Morning everyone! Are you having a lovely morning so far? I just love today’s wedding – however your day is going, this will put a smile on your face. Melissa and Richard had a handmade / vintage wedding at Hodsock Priory and it is simply gorgeous!

Melissa looks amazing in her Benjamin Roberts dress, Richard is rocking a suit from Next (only about a million miles better than Moss Bros, by the way!) and special credit goes to Melissa’s mum for all the handmade touches from bunting to fabric hearts and pocket squares – she even crafted the wedding invitations!

Vintage wedding at Hodsock Priory by Tierney Photography (2)

Little details include gourmet popcorn (I can almost taste it! And as I type it’s barely past breakfast time… not a good sign!), lovebirds on the cake and gorgeous gypsophila – my favourite. Huge thanks to Tierney Photography for the beautiful images – watch out for the portrait shots with snowflakes and stunning images of Hodsock Priory. Congratulations Melissa and Richard, and to every one of you lovely readers – enjoy! Claire xxx

It tickles me that today’s fab couple Sam and Hannah used Midsomer Murders as inspiration for their wedding in Norfolk. I love that little step further from vintage they’ve taken to create a beautifully styled and very English wedding. It really fires my imagination as well… how many TV-themed weddings can you imagine? Poirot? Blue Peter? I think it’s a great idea!

Norfolk wedding blog by Lifeline Photography (1)

Lenwade House was the setting for what turned out to be a wonderful wedding day with lovely styling and some beautiful moments. Both bride and groom look gorgeous and I know you’ll adore today’s real wedding on the blog. Thanks to Lifeline Photography – the very amazing Hannah Webster – for sharing images with us all today. (You absolutely have to check out lifelinephotography.co.uk where you’ll see Hannah change into a peacock!)

There are tons of ideas in today’s real wedding for you to take home and use as inspiration for your own wedding. Looking for a John Cleese impersonator? (Of course you were!) You’ll find him in the list of recommended wedding suppliers Hannah and Sam have included in their wedding report at the end of the blog! Enjoy. Claire xxx
