I love Kate and Andrew’s best thing about being married (from my questionnaire at the end of the blog) – they say it’s “having each other’s families“! How lovely is that?!! Their wedding report is as wonderful as the images of their day, the spectacular location of King’s College London, their creative choice of wedding readings… this is all a very special wedding blog and one I’m proud to feature!

How many of you are getting married this spring? The weeks seem to be flying by, and with the sunny days we’ve been having it almost feels like April is here already… so I thought it’d be a perfect day to share Fiona and Matthew’s wonderful April wedding blog with you. The gorgeous couple were married in Richmond, Surrey, and their Pembroke Lodge wedding is beautifully styled for springtime.

Pembroke Lodge wedding blog (1)

I adore Fiona’s lace dress (the back is just so beautiful, isn’t it… she’s such a stunning bride!) and the soft white and blue flowers are the perfect special touch for their day. Everything is captured beautifully by lovely Surrey wedding photographer Karen Flower – do visit her website (oh! and read the review Fiona and Matthew give her in their wedding report at the end of the blog – she comes very highly recommended indeed!) www.karenflowerphotography.com

I first met wedding photographer Alison Groves a couple of years ago and thanks to the magic of Facebook we’ve managed to keep in touch across the miles and while both of us have lived the most wonderful adventures! Ali is a lovely lady and an experienced wedding photographer based in the north west. She’d be an absolute delight to have around on your wedding day as well… as today’s glamorous and gorgeous couple would be sure to tell you!

Oooh where to start?! Michelle and Marc are a cool couple whose vintage chic wedding with a modern twist has some fabulous details – stunning rustic country flowers, tweed and bow ties for the boys, a 1950’s styled bridal dress, with cornflower blue bridesmaids… oh it’s beautiful and there’s so much to tell! They married at Peover Golf Club in Cheshire, on the hottest day of last year – and their wedding photos tell such a magical story.

Pixies in the cellar peover wedding photography (2)

The beautiful bride and gorgeous groom chose Pixies in the Cellar to photograph their wedding. Peter and Sara – aka the Pixies! – told me, “We really enjoyed the whole day, Meesh and Marc had thought of everything for the day to run smoothly and for it to be very personal to them. What really shines through in the pictures is how much fun everyone had, it way just a great group of family and friends enjoying a great day with some very very summery weather!

Some weddings instantly grab me as a wedding blogger, and today’s is one of them. Here’s a little secret: it’s not the details which make a ‘bloggable wedding’. Neither is it the bride and groom, or the dress, or the photography, or the venue. It’s everything: all of these matter when I’m looking for a wedding to blog, and the magical ingredient is the atmosphere they create when combined together… it’s like the alchemy of love in weddings!

So when styling and planning your wedding, focus on creating a day you’ll love from beginning to end. Follow today’s gorgeous couple’s example: Miranda and Ronan had a small wedding at Clissold House and their family helped with some of the finer details of the day. Miranda’s dress is exquisite – one of the loveliest I’ve seen! – but their smiles and the atmosphere which shines through the images of their day are what make this wedding so special.

I’ve been so excited to share today’s wedding with you all, in fact it’s one I’ve been waiting for since I first saw the gorgeous photos on Jason Mark Harris‘s blog back in November. It’s such a beautiful day – with a stunning bride, handsome groom and a brand new wedding venue for the English Wedding Blog. You can see all the Kent weddings I’ve featured on the blog here, but this is the first from High Rocks, an extraordinary wedding venue with five impressive function rooms and a unique setting which promises an unforgettable day and a spectacular wedding photo album!

High Rocks wedding in Kent (1) The wedding sounds pretty fantastic, an amazing party and a really personal day. Mark and Danielle didn’t follow the usual rules about tradition, and their top tip is to do the things you want to do instead of what’s traditionally expected at weddings. I couldn’t agree more! They involved family and friends in their wedding day with Danielle making her own stationery, flowers by Danielle’s mum and original wedding readings. For their entertainment they hired an Elvis tribute act who went down an absolute storm and comes highly recommended! Read Danielle’s wedding report at the end of the blog today for more details.

Hey lovelies! Friday at last and I’m smiling for lots of reasons this morning! 1 – I get to see my gorgeous boyfriend in a few hours’ time yay! 2 – it’s going to be March tomorrow and that means spring! and 3 – I’ve got a beautiful sunny wedding to share with you all today, thanks to gorgeous bride and groom Amy and Matt, and to Dorset wedding photographer Howard Lucas.

Dorset wedding blog by Howard Lucas Photography (29)I’ve never seen a wedding with a steam train before… but I’d love to see more! The bride and groom, and all of the wedding guests, travelled by train from the church to the reception. I love it – what a charming way to make your wedding one to remember! Oh but there’s also Amy’s divine wedding dress, the bright and charming bouquet, and the countryside charm of the village hall wedding venue with bright paper lanterns… you will LOVE this! Enjoy.

Laura and David hired a marquee for their big day but I think this look would work just as beautifully with a teepee or a barn wedding venue, don’t you? Here are the key pieces and projects which tied their gorgeous wedding style together. Hope you like!

Laura and David are amazing – a gorgeous couple who poured their hearts and souls into crafting a unique, creative and inspiring wedding. They made paper fans as alternative bunting hung all the way across the roof of their wedding marquee, which was decorated with corn dollies, lavender, vintage china… it looks amazing. The table plan is an ornate vintage frame; the guest book is adorably vintage and surrounded by family wedding photos. Their overall look is beautifully rustic and lovely wedding photographer Hayley Ruth sent me so many detail images I’m coming back tomorrow morning with a second, bonus, Get The Look blog feature!

Laura has written an outstanding wedding report to share with us all, and it’s full of great advice, tips and stories for other brides and grooms as well as recommended wedding suppliers around Cambridgeshire. Oh and I love the story of how she and David met: on their first date after work they found themselves shaking hands on a spontaneous agreement to travel to Australia. 3 months later they went to Sydney together, and 7 years down the line they were married. And I’ve got all the images of their wedding to show you! Yay! Huge congratulations to a gorgeous couple, and big thanks to Laura and David, and to wedding photographer Hayley Ruth for submitting the images. Everyone – enjoy!
