I wonder if any of you lovelies have had to rethink your wedding styling ideas for a change of seasons? If you were due to tie the knot in the summer and had to postpone to a winter wedding, perhaps this alternative colour palette will inspire a new look for your day. Darker hues work beautifully for a winter wedding, and these knockout blues with accents of sparkling gold are just divine. The fabulous images are by English Wedding member Katherine and her Camera – there’s a full supplier list for you just below.

Keep on sparkling, beautiful! With love,

Welcome to the new week, my lovelies. I hope you’ve had a relaxing weekend and a little sunshine! Today’s (pre-corona!) wedding shows how amazing a little DIY can look. Gorgeous couple – and these two are just stunning! – Jo & James styled their day beautifully with help from “an army of friends and family” – and the personal touches make it so very special. Jo’s dress is fabulous – it’s by Adrianna Papell and she bought it from TDR Bridal in Halesowen (who I’m very proud to say are English Wedding members!) She tells us all about her dress shopping experience a little further down, so do keep scrolling. So many beautiful photos full of ideas here – I hope you love this! Remember you can Pin images by tapping the top left corner 🙂

Welcome to the weekend, lovelies. This is one for snuggling together, taking some time for self care and a little autumn nesting – we’re sending hugs to all of you after this week’s announcements. And to bring a little beauty and extra warmth into your day we have this fabulous pre-lockdown wedding to share with you. Tim & Emily’s day is blissfully beautiful, with rich winter styling touches and the most wonderful elegance and style. These two made a conscious choice to support local businesses, and right now that’s so important: if you’re planning your wedding for 2021 please look for suppliers local to you – it means the world to us!

The age of black tie being a stuffy, strict dress code has really disappeared recently. As tastes have lent themselves more towards the kitschy, quirky and alternative, the tuxedo has moved with it.

These days, unless the dress code is marked as formal or strict black tie – or the bride and groom specify – you can have a bit more fun with the Tuxedo. Perhaps it’s a vintage do, calling for velvets and paisleys, or something a little more modern and sharp, calling for slim fits and sharp lapels.
