The wedding industry moves fast – I find I’m giving my calligraphy website a complete overhaul at least every couple of years! Keeping up with trends in the media and keeping everything looking peachy is a fantastic challenge and a huge task for wedding suppliers in every field from photography to floral design, wedding venues and every other service you can think of!

I asked lovely Kayleigh, the fabulous wedding photographer behind Snapdragon Photography, about her rebrand earlier this year, and I loved the story behind it.

You know when things just ‘work out’ for you? This is how my rebrand happened – and I feel very very lucky!

I had been considering undergoing a rebrand for my business for the last year or so. The last time I purchased my USB boxes I decided that would be the last batch and I wanted to move into something more elegant like glass boxes or faux leather pouches. I didn’t feel like I could do this with my current logo as it felt so dated, and unfortunately I just wasn’t in the financial position to invest in this side of my business.

Kayleigh specialises in timeless, elegant and natural photography that will stand the test of time.

“I love to shoot moments you won’t have seen, have fun with you guys and capture the real YOU in the most natural way possible. The day is alllll about you and my aim is to ensure your spending the day with all your family and friends and not staring at me!!”

With timeless images in her wedding galleries, it was a natural step to rebrand the business, and Kayleigh had a stroke of luck finding a creative studio in Devon to bring her dreams for her new brand to life!

My original logo was designed in 2017 when I set up Snapdragon Photography and I LOVED it. It was just what I had imagined it to look like but over the years, I felt like myself and my work had grown and moved on but my branding had not. I was getting in a rut with social media etc, there is so much choice out there with templates etc, that my stuff wasn’t looking consistent and quite disjointed…. enter Adele from ‘Designer in Devon‘ who was running a competition for a free VIP branding session. I was in there like swimwear, on it like a car bonnet. I wanted that prize, and guess what? I WON! I was ecstatic!!

My brief to Adele was that I wanted something elegant, timeless, natural and clean as I feel these words really represent my work. The vision was to create a look and feel that puts people at ease and make people really feel the value in their photos. Something to treasure for a lifetime.

“Kayleigh is super friendly, trustworthy, approachable and professional – all of these aspects had to come through in her brand tone of voice. Something I think we have encapsulated beautifully in her new brand package.” Adele

So off to work on the brand went Adele and a few days later she delivered a nailed down colour palette, social media pack, logo colour ways, fonts, website template.. the whole shabang! and I’m so happy with the results.

I hope you like it too!!
