Anna and Charlie married at the relatively new Findon Place, an impressive Georgian country house in West Sussex has recently been lovingly restored and updated by owner Caroline Hill. The venue features original features, natural light and beautiful spaces as well as boasting an outdoor ceremony space, swimming pool and tennis courts.

Anna and Charlie hosted their 76 guest wedding over the weekend, starting with a welcoming afternoon tea for their bridal party on Friday and a chilled grazing board evening meal poolside.

The vision for Anna and Charlie’s wedding was classic, English countryside. It was also a wonderful opportunity to bring family and friends together after a long absence due to Covid-19. Many of the family guests were able to travel from Myanmar (Burma) after not being able to visit for several years. The vibe of the day was just pure love and joy, you could feel it coming from everyone – such a gorgeous family and friend guest group.

Anna and Charlie opted for a classic green and white colour palette, the decor was simple but thoughtful and the details for the day had special attention paid to them. This classic look is timeless and perfect for a venue like Findon Place, and the overall effect was timeless, bright and glorious.

Luxury stationery set the tone for the day with bespoke, letterpress invitations designed with a hand drawn illustration of Findon Place by Emma Bradstreet.

Charlie’s heritage was brought through to the day with traditional handmade fans being made in Myanmar (Burma) and transported by his brother – the same ribbon used for the stationery was then tied to the fans.

The outdoor ceremony took place against the backdrop of floral columns, with a short walk past the glistening pool.

The drinks reception took place on the terrace with the backdrop of Findon Place and a string quartet with lawn games, a quintessential English afternoon in the sun.

The Wedding breakfast took place within the ballroom of the venue, each table was adorned with voluminous floral arrangements, green textural glassware and matching ribbon from the stationery and fans.

The evening continued with a super fun party band and when the music finished house guests were able to cosy up around the outdoor fire with a whisky to reflect on the day.

Sunday brunch was provided by Findon Place and to finish the weekend Anna and Charlie took a super fun dip in the pool!

This is a quintessential classic English country house weekend wedding, delivered with simple, luxurious details and fun twists that take full advantage of this new and beautiful venue.
