Lizzy & Rich’s timelessly beautiful Lympne Castle wedding, with Benjamin Toms Photography
Summer is here, right now, with this glorious wedding in lovely Lympne Castle. Gorgeous couple Lizzy and Rich smiled ALL day long, and the joy was captured beautifully by top Kent wedding photographer Benjamin Toms. With lovely personal touches including fabulous florals (not to mention the free sunflowers!) and a cake made by Rich’s mum, the details are absolutely wonderful.

How did you choose your photographer?
Ben was recommend by a friend
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
Absolutely! Ben captured all of the most special moments of our day and made the most of our gorgeous venue (Lympne Castle) to get some really stunning shots.
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
Lympne Castle – it was in the area that Lizzy grew up in. It is such a beautiful venue with fantastic views over Romney Marsh and the Channel.
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
Lizzy – I loved my dress so much. I went to a few shops in London but this one really stood out.
Rich – I treated myself to at a tailor made suit and went to the same tailor as where my brother got his wedding suit. I felt amazing on the day!
Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness
We used a local florist called Nikki Challis, she was recommended by a family friend.
Did you hire a wedding planner?
No, but Amiee at Lympne Castle was just brilliant at making sure we had everything ready for the big day and helped us set the venue up the day before the wedding.
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
Rich’s mum made our cake 🙂
Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves
Our table names were different tube stations that are significant to us, e.g. where we first met, our first home etc. we went to each station and took a selfie in front of the tube sign which we used for the table numbers.
Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?
We were married in Saltwood Church so they were traditional.
What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?
Afterglow by Wilkinson! We love drum & bass!
How did the pandemic affect your wedding plans? Do you have any advice to share with couples planning their weddings right now?
We were so lucky that our day went ahead as planned but we were conscious of choosing a venue that would feel too ‘big’ if we ended up having to cut numbers.

Imperial Grooves are the BEST band. Helen Roche did Lizzy’s hair and makeup and she was brilliant.
