Fresh Natural Green Botanicals with a twist of Apple
I was thrilled when lovely Debbie from Whitestem joined English Wedding back in October – and even more delighted to see this stunning wedding photoshoot in my inbox. All the greenery… it’s magical, beautifully styled and with a fabulous team of Highcliffe Castle wedding suppliers involved. The glorious greenery and luscious light shows how a small intimate wedding can still take place and look spectacular in a very large room without seeming swamped at all, but the styling would work just as well for a wedding of any size, which is what we’re all hoping for in the future!
I hope you love this as much as I do. Have a wonderful weekend!

If you are inspired by the natural world and would like to make the ethical choice by being as sustainable as you can on your wedding day, but really do not want to compromise on the beauty of the styling, then why not consider creating a stunning botanical effect with real trees and natural greenery?
It was the amazing light streaming through the windows of the Wintergarden at Highcliffe Castle and the beautiful gardens outside that inspired us to create this bridal shoot. We really wanted to create something truly magical – light, airy and ethereal but also delivering our vision that that connected the venue to the gardens, bringing the outside in, by using real, native trees and natural foraged greenery, fruit and florals!
We placed tall, delicate, leafy silver and white stemmed birch trees around the venue to enhance the grand proportions of the room and a star jasmine wedding arch to frame the bridal entranceway. Alongside this we used masses of natural foraged greenery that you can find in many gardens and hedgerows for the aisle décor and the beautiful ceremony table arrangement. Feathery ferns and bracken, rounded white and green hydrangea heads and other natural florals created our indoor garden. Wooden chairs draped with white chiffon held in place with single fern leaves, and clear glass hurricane lamps filled with shiny green apples, finished the airy aisle décor.
To continue the ethereal theme the bride was wearing a beautifully simple and romantic tulle draped dress embellished with lace flowers, her hair was styled naturally in loose soft waves and her makeup was in neutral colours. Foraged and garden greenery and florals including star jasmine sprays and damson and white dahlias were also used to create her bridal bouquet and floral hair clip.
