I’ve worked at this venue many times and love the stunning grounds and the Long Hall’s grand interior. I wanted to create a theme inspired by rich and warm jewel tones with an abundance of flowers and decadence to reflect the venues royal splendor. I wanted it to feel very autumnal and show that beautiful portraits can be taken inside when the weather is typical of the cooler seasons and months. Often the gardens are used and people don’t necessarily see the hall as an alternative for portraits and photo backdrop.
The venue is a tudor palace and I wanted to highlight the richness of the interior and a nod to its history. The styling was to be rich and decadent, so I knew I wanted gold tableware to reflect the richness and something a little more luxurious. This was carried on throughout the dress choices with rich fabrics and styling that would match the drama of the setting. The staircase is such a statement feature, so I really wanted to maximize on this with dramatic foliage and candlelight.
I’ve worked with most of these suppliers before on different weddings and love their styles. I gave them my vision via a shared pinterest board and let them use their areas of expertise to create something beautiful that would inspire couples and would also use their creativity to showcase what they love doing.
After such a quiet year for working, it’s been great to get creative and maybe even influence future couples and their plans.
