Elegant and timeless wedding styling at Bradfield College, with Lorna Richerby Photography
This classic styled wedding editorial felt perfect for a Sunday… the relaxed and elegant vibe, the gently sparkling gown and lush florals… While wedding trends change every year, there’s something so classic about an ivory colour scheme. It’s also one which works with every season, and can be blended with other more unique or quirky elements to make it truly yours. For example, for this wedding shoot the team added gold accents for a splash of opulence and green to keep things fresh and calm. Huge thanks to English Wedding member Lorna Richerby Photography for sending this beautiful feature our way. Venue
Bradfield College in the idyllic Berkshire countryside was the perfect venue for this luxury and quintessentially English wedding styled shoot. With its impressive grounds, large chapel, and recently refurbished dining hall with high-vaulted wooden beamed ceiling, ornate stained glass windows and feature fireplace, the college offers a spectacular setting for any celebration.
The Bridal Look
We had the pleasure of using the show-stopping Aurora bridal gown by Savin London from Bridal Indulgence for the shoot. With exquisite floral/vine beaded detailing and plunge neckline, it really is stunning. The dress was perfectly complemented by an elegant updo by Calley Thatcher and flawless makeup by Phoebe Hayter. The look was finished with contemporary jewellery by Fenella Watson Designs and hair accessories by Victoria Jane Designs.
The Groom’s Look
The groom didn’t disappoint either, and looked dashing in his grey trousers, double-breasted waistcoat and black tails from Anthony Blay Menswear, topped off with a delicate white rose and lisianthus buttonhole.
Flowers and Styling
In-keeping with the theme, the stunning bouquet and table centrepieces by Flowers by Helen Elizabeth – with ivory roses, lisianthus, astrantia major and soft greenery – combined with the luxurious venue styling by The Luxe Design Co – complete with gold-rimmed plates and gold cutlery – brought the colour palette together beautifully. Stationer Grace and Bramble created a personalised table plan hung on a brass frame adorned with more beautiful foliage reflecting the styling, and used gold-foiled lettering on the other paper elements. Around the room, fairy lights and flickering candles in brass candlesticks added to the warm and romantic atmosphere.
Wedding Cake
Oh, and not forgetting the cakes of course! Fabu-lous Cakes created an elegant masterpiece: a tier in green topped with two further tiers in ivory, adorned with sugar craft roses and gold leaf, for a cake with real wow factor!
