Eleanor & Martyn’s beautiful Pendrell Hall wedding, with Lisa Webb Photography

Published by Claire Gould on

Happy Friday!! We have a sparkly beautiful wedding to share with you to end the week in style! Prepare for sparkles, smiles and tons of fabulous styling touches with lots of GIN!!! Eleanor and Martyn had a gorgeous wedding at Pendrell Hall in Staffordshire. Eleanor wore a beautiful Theia Couture gown and her Hollywood waves for her wedding hair really completed the look. Eleanor and Martyn both love gin so there was a gin theme running throughout their day, including a gin table plan and a gin station. What could be more perfect for a Friday blog feature?! Enjoy.

“The theme was Gin. We’re big lovers of it. Each table was filled with flowers in one of our favourite gin bottles. We had a beautiful table plan created by Hannah at Yellow Stone art boutique. There was also a gin bar which went down a treat!

We kept the styling simple as the venue is already stunning. We had single stem flowers in gin bottles and clear vases. We used crates also and had a flower trough of flowers. I loved making my name places with my two friends Taylor and Amanda whilst we sampled the gin cocktails I wanted to serve for my gin bar! We chose a naked cake as I love the style! I had flowers from my florist added to it.

We found Lisa Webb’s amazing pictures on Instagram. I saw how beautiful and natural they were. I instantly loved her style.

We are absolutely over the moon with our wedding pictures. Lisa captured our day exactly how we wanted it and more. Everything from the lighting, positioning and finding beautiful spots in and around the venue for pictures. Not only that she made us feel at ease. She is fun and happy and that reflects in her pictures. Had so many people ask me who did my wedding photo’s. We received so many compliments.

When I saw our photos for the first time I couldn’t stop smiling. I just couldn’t believe how happy I was with them. I knew I would be happy but I was absolutely thrilled. We loved our day and so happy to have our beautiful photos as memories.

Wedding venue:

Pendrell Hall Exclusive Wedding Venue. Codsall wood, Wolverhampton, WV81QP.

Wedding month:

February

Can you describe your wedding in fewer than 10 words?

A magical day filled with Love,
Sunshine, Sheep, Sparklers and lots of Gin!!!

Where did you find your suppliers? (Blogs, magazines, recommendations?)

Instagram mostly, also through the wedding venue suppliers itself.

What’s your top tip for saving money?

Well we went for February as it was the cheapest month. We went for a venue where we could have everyone inside to keep warm and it was a very picturesque venue inside for photos. However it turned out to be a record 17 degrees that day and everyone was outside wearing sunglasses drinking Gin and tonics on the lawns. It was like a summers day (we were very lucky) I also didn’t do wedding favours, we did a gin bar so everyone could help themselves, this worked out cheaper. Also instead of flower arrangements we had single stems in bottles which helped with money. Also made my own name places from used corks. Also use student discounts on bridesmaids shoes and dresses from highstreet shops. Mine were from oasis.

… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?

Bouquets, my dress, the food and the band!

Where did you buy or source your wedding stationery – or was making it a labour of love?

Yellow stone art boutique did my amazing table plan. Invites ect. was vista print. I made my own table names from corks and got a stamp ink pad to stamp names rather than write them.

Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?

Yes. First dress. First shop. Knew straight away it was the one!

Wedding dress designer and bridal boutique:

Theia bridal from Rachel Ash bridal shop in atherstone. It’s called the Lenni dress.

Tell us about your accessories: jewellery, shoes and anything else!

Ted baker pink velvet shoes, with a rose gold embellishment. I saw them and was love at first sight. My bracelet was my mums. It was something borrowed and blue. It was extra special to me as she passed away in the November before my wedding. My earrings were from liberty and love bridal website. Again rose gold and were very simple as my dress was quite out there.

And what did the groom wear?

The suits were from
Duncan James. His shoes were Barker.

Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?

Bridesmaid Dresses from Oasis.

Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?

The amazing Rebecca Haines did my hair and makeup. She made my look exactly how I wanted and more. She’s professional and very good at time management which is crucial on your wedding morning! http://www.rebeccahaines.co.uk/

Describe your wedding flowers. Who arranged them for you? (florist details would be lovely please)

Love flowers U.K. The amazing Steph. Wow! Was blown away by my flowers. She’s so talented. She gave me what I asked for but they were even better than I imagined. Everyone commented on the flowers and they made the photos and my dress pop! I had a mix of reds blues and purples. Asked for a wild flower style and had ribbons for a more boho vibe.

Entertainment: any musical recommendations, surprises or treats?

We had an amazing band called Call Back. They are brilliant and Adam the lead singer even slowed down our first dance song and put a twist to it to make it our own. Amazing!!!

Words of wisdom: share your best piece of advice for other couples:

Don’t get stressed, everything will come together. Choose three things that really matter to you and put most of your effort and money into that. The rest will follow. For example my three things were dress, food and band. They were my highlights of the day! Choose a theme for the wedding aswell it makes it so personal. Also get a videographer a must!!!!!!! Ours was Emma hurly from
Daydream cinematography! Write your own vows also that was such a personal and happy moment.

What’s the best thing about being married?

Just being together ready to share life’s journey together.
