Barely there beautiful – gracefully understated wedding style inspiration for 2019
The key emerging trend for 2019 weddings right now seems to be minimalism – simple styling and elegant touches, with a focus on quality rather than quantity of styling touches! Tables and place settings can be kept beautifully clean with minimal fuss and subtle colours, bridal styling is only subtly hued and florals are soft, lush and green. Simplicity is beautiful; understated is our dream wedding look for the coming year!
Rock the Frock Bridal provided two dresses – a modern style from Mila Mira, taking elements from traditional bridal styling and with a taupe lining. We love the second look, with a two-piece top and skirt by Zetterberg Couture. Make up was by Clarissa Clary, with the look kept soft and neutral with hair by Jennie in a soft braided up-do. The hairline is by PS With Love, and veil from lovely Sash & Veil.
The concept for this styled shoot was inspired by simple styling and a love for soft neutral hues. Natasha (The Wildflower Wedding Planner) chose to combine an understated colour palette of white, nude and taupe with romantic modern styling and tactile elements. The result is breathtakingly beautiful; the kind of beauty where time stands still and you just want to whisper how lovely it all looks! Images are by the wonderfully talented fine art wedding photographer Helene Elliott.
The Old Parish Rooms was the perfect backdrop for this shoot, with its clean white space, exposed brickwork and an abundance of natural light. Petal and Wild‘s statement meadow-like floral installations added an extra organic element, bringing the outside in.
The tablescape is breathtaking in its simplicity, the romantic silk runner contrasting with the reclaimed wood table from Anthology Vintage Hire strikes the perfect balance. Natasha used antique silver cutlery from Hélène Millot alongside more modern elements, sleek glass candlesticks and simple stoneware crockery for a truly elegant finish. Elsewhere, contemporary styling touches included an acrylic welcome sign and matte balloon from Love Me Do.
The four tier wedding cake by super talented Egg & Moo’s took inspiration from other elements of the shoot: the stunning handmade sugar flowers were made specifically to match the floral elements, the lace from the dress, and with a nod to modern metallics in the silver leaf detailing.
Olive Design Studios‘ invitation suite was a perfect combination of on-trend botanical illustrations with vellum, elegant typography and natural flecked card. The stationery was finished off with agate slice place names, handwritten in white calligraphy, and a quote on handmade paper.
