The key emerging trend for 2019 weddings right now seems to be minimalism – simple styling and elegant touches, with a focus on quality rather than quantity of styling touches! Tables and place settings can be kept beautifully clean with minimal fuss and subtle colours, bridal styling is only subtly hued and florals are soft, lush and green. Simplicity is beautiful; understated is our dream wedding look for the coming year!

Rock the Frock Bridal provided two dresses – a modern style from Mila Mira, taking elements from traditional bridal styling and with a taupe lining. We love the second look, with a two-piece top and skirt by Zetterberg Couture. Make up was by Clarissa Clary, with the look kept soft and neutral with hair by Jennie in a soft braided up-do. The hairline is by PS With Love, and veil from lovely Sash & Veil.

So how was your weekend? We survived a brilliant sten do at a mini festival close to home – it was absolutely fantastic, but oops… I’m a little more ‘bronzed’ than I’d like to be right now!! I’m currently enjoying a lovely breeze in my little studio office as I bring you today’s beautiful inspo feature. This is the work of a fabulously creative bunch of Essex wedding suppliers, and promises to bring a touch of cool to your screens, wherever you may be on this super hot day! I just love the ultra modern wedding cake and eye-catching stationery pieces – it’s all just gorgeous. Lovely Jenna from Wonderland Invites, who styled the shoot, is here to tell you more.

The Railway Barn at Newhall Vineyards in Essex is a perfect blank canvas venue. With whitewashed brick walls and concrete floors, the space allows for a bride and groom’s creativity to run wild. As a supplier, I wanted to showcase a modern, industrial styled shoot, to show a slightly different way in which the space could be used for a wedding.

My lovely friend Claire, our Facebook page curator and the creative spark behind this year’s Chosen Wedding Fairs, is working incredibly hard in the run up to next week’s London event. I’m absolutely thrilled for her – being involved in one of the UK’s best wedding supplier showcases is something to be so proud of – and she’s just sent me a list of the amazing exhibitors who’ll be there on the day. This is the best kind of sneak peek  – you can totally plan your day at Chosen!

Essex bridal hair styling and make up by Team Glam (16)

Make up artist Carla Brooks got in touch with me to introduce Team Glam back in January. She explained that on average the eight members of Team Glam do between 500-600 weddings a year between them.

As well as focusing on real weddings, Team Glam have been creating inspirational shoots from classic bridal to crazy colorful styles. They’re hoping to produce half a dozen styled shoots per year and all of their shoots are accompanied by video so real brides can not only see how they work but also how the team works to transform them.
