Romantic dusky pinks for a whimsical wedding edit from Chelsea Physic Garden

Hello lovelies! Today’s all about the pretty on English Wedding… gloriously soft and feminine pinks with romantic table styling, silk ribbons and a lush bouquet. This palette and look would be wonderful in a contemporary marquee or garden wedding reception, or an orangery with views onto beautiful gardens. Huge thanks to lovely Jenna from Wonderland Invites for sharing it with us – this is so damn beautiful!
When my Instagram friend from the states announced she’d be in the UK to shoot a wedding, I knew it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to work together in person. I messaged Ryann of Ryann Lindsey Photography and she was up for the task!
We decided to push for a London based shoot, and my search began. I was over the moon when Chelsea Physic Garden accepted. As a working garden open to the public, they don’t frequently allow photoshoots; as such, it was an amazing opportunity we were handed by the marketing team there. To compliment the lush greenery of the gardens, I opted for a pink, mauve and white colour scheme which would bounce beautifully off the floral and fauna of the surroundings.
Rose gold offered a pretty, metallic addition to the colour palette. The fantastic teams from Wilma Event Design and Rock The Day really embraced the colour scheme in their styling, and Ofe from Ollie’s Studio hand-dyed the most amazing silks, napkins and table runner which worked so cohesively with the rest of the styling props.
Catherine Short combined beautiful flowers including roses, astilbe and cafe au lait dahlias, which brought to life the tablescape and copper arch, with loose flower heads filling vases and decanters.
For the table plan, I printed on 5.5 foot long calico fabric and attached this to a copper pole. I also created a stationery suite which was complemented with vellum, wax seals and rose gold ink calligraphy.
Didi’s Cookies and Jemima Cakes created an array of sweet, tempting treats to accompany the styling of multiple setups, again, making perfect use of the colour palette.
Balloons from Oooh Balloons made for some stunning images of the two models, Sarah Amstrong-Devine and Susie Barton, both of whom wore dresses by Naomi Neoh, shoes from Emmy London and hairpieces by What Katy Did Next.
Stu Kinghorn from Confetti & Silk was behind the camera, producing a beautiful film of the day.
