Timeless and romantic spring wedding inspiration from Holesfoot Cumbria, with Mark Battista Photography

Published by Claire Gould on

If English Wedding has a little bias towards the north west and the Lakes, I make no apologies. This part of England’s where I grew up, my home, and just happens to be my personal favourite! Today, a styled wedding inspiration photoshoot with stunning springtime vibes from one of the Lake District’s finest venues, which I asked Mark Battista, a wedding photographer from Cumbria, if we could share on English Wedding.

I adore a styled shoot.#

I love seeing how wedding suppliers lead the way in showcasing creative wedding styling. There’s a lot of debate over styled photoshoots, but I adore them as a way of signalling upcoming wedding styling trends. This beautiful day happened in March 2025, with spring colour palettes in various styles, all with a timeless look which easily carries into 2026.

It’s all so beautiful, and the details Mark has captured so perfectly include meticulously and artfully crafted wedding cakes, cascading romantic florals and an exquisite table setting perfect for the spring wedding season.

“Holesfoot is a hidden gem in the Lake District—a private country house set in beautiful surroundings, perfect for couples looking for a truly romantic and exclusive wedding venue. Having the chance to photograph here was an incredible experience. From the elegant interiors to the breathtaking gardens, every part of Holesfoot provides the perfect backdrop for timeless wedding photography. If you’re planning your wedding at Holesfoot, I’d love to capture your day. With years of experience photographing weddings across the Lake District, I know how to make the most of this stunning venue, ensuring your photos are filled with light, emotion, and those little details that make your day unique.” ~ Mark Battista Photography at Holesfoot Cumbria

A little note on styled photoshoots, and wedding workshops like these – I’m all for them. They’re an opportunity for us to share styling ideas, and to promote amazing suppliers who pour their hearts into creating beautiful backdrops for unforgettable celebrations.

takes super relaxed, beautiful photos in a natural way that captures the moment.

“I believe wedding photos should be bright, vibrant, and bursting with life, creating memories that last a lifetime. As a creative wedding photographer based here in the beautiful Lake District, I focus on moments with emotion – love, laughter, happiness, anticipation, surprise, trust, and tears of joy. Most of all though, I capture natural photographs of people and the way in which they connect within those moments.”
