A very warm welcome to English Wedding – especially if you’re just engaged!!! Congratulations, and I hope you LOVE the world of wedding blogs. I’m Claire, I write English Wedding along with all of the brides and grooms whose weddings we feature, and the photographers, stylists and wedding creatives who work so hard to bring you new styling and wedding planning ideas. Over Christmas I’m looking back through our favourite weddings from 2018, and today it’s the turn of gorgeous Rosie & Steve, whose woodland wedding at Rhinefield House in Hampshire is as magical as it is beautiful. Their photos are by lovely Gemma at Romy Lawrence Photography, Rosie’s dress is by Essense of Australia and Steve’s suit is from Hugo Boss.

Check out some more from our favourite weddings collection this Christmas – so far we’ve featured James & Keye’s festival wedding, Tig & Piers’ glamorous celebration, and Daisy & Will’s family-focused wedding. Enjoy!

Happy Friday folks! Ah… how on earth is it the end of the week already?! We’ve had the most amazing week of wedding inspiration on the blog, and I have so much planned to share with you over the weekend and next week too! But first – I like to share something really beautiful every Friday: as work is winding down we can all afford a little longer for lunch, right? So today we’re sharing Alexandra and Hugo’s marquee wedding with tons of handmade touches (beautiful bride Alexandra bought and arranged ALL the flowers, as well as making the stationery!) and gorgeous styling.

“I arranged the bouquets, head garlands, button holes and marquee flowers along with friends and family helping with the church and flower arch. My bouquet was peonies – my absolute favourite with some eucalyptus. The bridesmaids had bouquets made up of lizzianthus and gypsophillia and the marquee flowers were roses and gypsophillia with the flower arch being a mix of all flowers used. When hiring a marquee you then have to do all decoration yourself so the days before the wedding no waking minute was wasted turning it into our dream venue! Plenty of flowers and bunting was used to achieve this. We had a traditional marquee with poles which we wrapped ivy around.

Happy Saturday everyone! I’m off adventuring today in Edinburgh – we have a bit of a crazy weekend ahead, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an AMAZING wedding to share with you this morning as well. First though, I have to tell you about my next calligraphy workshop. This one will be on a Saturday afternoon in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, perfect for anyone (else!) who’d like to spend a girly day hitting the shops, learning calligraphy, then dancing the night away in my fave city. The date is May 26th, and you can book places in my Etsy shop now. I’d love to see you there!

Back to weddings, and today’s has some of the most breathtaking images I’ve seen all year. Rosie and Steve are the loveliest couple, and their Rhinefield House wedding is captured beautifully by lovely Gemma from Romy Lawrence Photography. Watch out for really unique styling touches and incredible golden hour portraits with more romance than anything you’ve seen on a  wedding blog in your life!  I’ll let Gemma tell you more about this beautiful day. Enjoy!   Claire xxx
