Good morning, beautiful! How are you on this rather chilly October (!!) day? And can you even believe it’s properly autumn now? I know I can’t… but the best thing about autumn is all the fabulous weddings I’m seeing from lovely couples and photographers all around the country. This has to be the best time of year for wedding blogs, and I feel so lucky! Keep the submissions coming, guys!

Today we have an extraordinarily beautiful wedding, with stunning bride Amy and gorgeous groom Gerard, from Iscoyd Park. Lovely Michelle from Ritzy Events submitted this one, and Gerard and Amy have completed a brilliant interview telling us all about their day. Images are by international award winning wedding photographer Paulo Santos – who captures every moment beautifully and gets a glowing review from the happy couple!

We’d like to wish a heartfelt Happy Anniversary to Jenny Packham – so many of our beautiful English Wedding brides have worn her gowns on your best days ever, and since our own launch in 2009 we’ve become huge fans of Jenny’s inimitable bridal gowns.

Jenny’s classic dresses – relaunched to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Jenny Packham brand – ooze film star grace and splendour: they’re intricate and beautiful, softly glittering and breathtakingly elegant.

We’re delighted to announce the best selling styles to be reintroduced in celebration of this milestone year are Willow, Eden, Azalea, Clare, Joy and Aspen – all available now at the brand’s London flagship store.

I was really interested to read a couple of weeks ago that Jenny Packham wouldn’t be launching her bridal collections via catwalk shows. Her decision makes so much sense to me: for years I’ve seen – and mostly rejected – bridal designers’ submissions where all I see is dress after dress photographed under harsh lighting, against a dull background, surrounded by the ankles and handbags of boutique owners and stockists (sat either side of the catwalk, but still in shot). It was all very meh, (even in the days when meh was a new word!).

So to hear that one of our favourite international designers is stepping away from this kind of imagery and launching a campaign with a digital focus is wonderful news. It supports the wedding blog world; Jenny is looking to share beautiful imagery of her 2018 bridal collection online. And the photos are beautiful – they do her designs justice by showcasing the dresses against an elegant backdrop, hinting at a stately home or glamorous hotel where real brides are more likely to wear these beautiful creations in real life.

You don’t need 100 or more people to watch him put a ring on your finger. You don’t need the stress of a wedding table plan, huge corkage fees or to spend your day in a crowd of distant cousins. All you really need is you. Intimate weddings with only a handful of guests are my favourite, and beautiful bride Liz and Richard’s day is simply perfect. Don’t you just love that Jenny Packham dress?

“We looked for Kent based photographers online and after looking through a lot of photography we came across Helen’s website and we knew it was the relaxed style we wanted. We contacted Helen to arrange meeting her at a wedding fayre and we instantly clicked – we knew she’d be great at blending in and capturing our special moments.

You know when you look at a rainbow, and it’s so amazing it gets in your eyes and stays there all day? No? You’re about to, with today’s wonderfully colourful English wedding. The hot air balloon is only one of so many visual delights (and hey, if you’re training to be a balloon pilot!!!… it’s got to be done!) The styling and decor make this wedding so fabulously fun, unique and memorable – it has to be one of my favourite weddings on the blog this year. Gorgeous Kristy and Ollie shared lots of info about their day, so do read their fantastic interview after the images!

“We made our own invitations, created some of the venue styling pieces such as bunting, paper cranes, we put together some glass vials with wildflower seeds for wedding favours too. I was lucky to have some help from friends and family with all these.

The style of Chell and Ben’s wedding is wonderful: this is a themed wedding done beautifully, and it’s a joy to scroll through their images! When this wonderfully sparkly, gold, glamorous wedding landed in my inbox I knew you’d adore every detail…

Oh my god I was obsessed with my wedding dress! We knew the theme we wanted almost straight away; Great Gatsby Glamour. I went online to search for 1920s style dresses and instantly fell in love with the Jenny Packham Eden dress in Platinum. It had 1920’s decadence but with a bridal twist. Effortlessly stylish and beautiful without being over the top. The detailing of all the sequins and beading made it stand out above all other dresses. I am still totally in love with it now and am always looking for 1920s events I can use as an excuse to wear it again. I’m even contemplating bringing it on our honeymoon to the Maldives so I can get some more beautiful photographs in it!

It’s hard to believe we’re only a month away from Christmas now! [Is anyone as far behind as me with shopping for the big day?!] I’ve been looking for wintry, Christmassy weddings which are really elegant and pretty to share with you all for the last month… Today ladies and gents, brides and grooms – we hit the jackpot. Sophie and David’s wedding at Swancar Farm, Nottingham, has left me equally excited and speechless. The details are wonderful, Sophie’s dress is stunning, the lovely moments are all there and scrolling through all the images left me feeling happy, and super excited to feature such a beautiful day.

She told me Sophie and David are really friendly and fun to be around and their wedding really reflected that. “They were very relaxed about the photos which gave me the freedom to be creative and being a Christmas wedding, there were lots of lovely Christmassy details for me to photograph.

A venue bold enough to name itself amazing – in its actual name. A bouquet full of rich reds, statement blooms and delicate tendrils of fern… and the most stunning couple. Today’s wedding is simply wonderful; with elegant, richly colourful detailing and an atmosphere of pure romance. You will love it!

Gorgeous bride Dannii’s bouquet is from Vicki’s Floral Designs in Harlow. The combination of dahlias, protea, roses and ripening blackberries is just out of this world… and the ferns make this bouquet a dream!

Today’s bride Lucy is stunning, she has the most amazing smile. The bouquet caught my eye straight away, it’s just insanely pretty – and I love love love their style and all the special little touches. Sam’s look is perfect for a modern wedding (grooms, take note!) and for a village hall this is just blindingly beautiful! I wish I got more real wedding submissions from Wales…

My bouquet was by Charlotte from Verity and Thyme and the rest I (and my uni girls) did . The bridesmaids and all decorative flowers were done by us the day before. My bouquet was SO lovely – charlotte had seen a handful of inspirational images from me and created the most perfect blooms!

Fairy light chandeliers, rustic DIY details and a fabulous bouquet… today’s wedding is more than gorgeous! This is a perfect wedding for the blog… the prettily decorated barn, the lovely cake, the pretty little details (I love the lavender on the table plan, the handmade favours, the flowers)… I hope you do too!Claire

“Our wedding theme was rustic fairytale. I spent hours hand making as much as possible and tried to personalise every detail from confetti cones to hand painted signs. I went to town on handmade elements! I personalised the confetti cones, hand stamped every letter of our guests names onto hand made paper for place settings, hand painted the signs, built the s’more favours. I loved doing it all and I’m so happy our photographer captured it all. I was worried the details would be missed but our guests loved all the personal details.

The best thing about being married? “Knowing that whatever life throws at you, you have someone who loves you by your side throughout it all.” ~ Laura

It’s fab to see an Easter wedding at this time of year – Laura & Jonathan’s day is so full of spring, just seeing the photos makes me happy! The images are gorgeous, the details are perfect, the setting is fabulous and of course the bride and groom are stunning.

“The fact that it was Easter weekend gave a subtle theme with chocolate rabbits as favours and napkins folded into bunnies (by the clever wedding coordinator Michelle at the Rampsbeck) but without overdoing it. The whole day was very relaxed and chilled out, the sort of wedding where I felt more like a guest among Laura & Jonathan’s lovely friends & family than a vendor.

Scott and Laura’s summer wedding is so wonderfully pretty! The bright yellows, gorgeous florals and delicate details are guaranteed to brighten your morning. “I adored my fresh flowers – simple countryside yellows and whites – and was gutted that I couldn’t keep them forever.”

Today’s bride and groom are the loveliest couple too – Laura’s beautiful in her wedding gown and you won’t believe where Scott got his super cute suit from! They’ve shared some great advice with us in their English Wedding Blog interview at the end of the feature – don’t miss it, it’s a good one!

“Write a wish list and stick to it! There are so different wedding suppliers out there to tempt you with all sorts of things you’ve never even thought of and you can quickly become convinced that your big day will not be perfect without them! Also, use local/small business suppliers – we found the attention to detail and customer service far superior to the bigger companies as well as the cost being much lower! “
