I can almost smell the flowers… because today we have the loveliest, summeriest wedding of all for you to enjoy. Gorgeous couple Jo and Jack married in Cheltenham on a beautiful early summer’s day. Their barn wedding celebration is just divine: the florals are so vibrant and wonderfully colourful they almost steal the show.

Jo and Jack were wed in their village church in Cheltenham. It was a perfect, quiet and quaint location where only locals and a few scarce hikers would pass by. Imagine sun trickling in through the trees and birds singing, so, so lovely.

Our experience was that weddings are as expensive as you make them to be. We were keen to save money and so got loads of our friends and family involved with everything! Our maid of honour’s mum made our wedding cake, Hannah rented her wedding dress, our friends designed all the stationery and so much more! It was a great way not only to save money, but also to involve people in our process and to make them feel a part of it.

Happy Friday lovelies! I have the sweetest wedding for you all today – Naomi and Chris declared their love for one another at Westwood Heath Church in Coventry. Their religious ceremony was such a meaningful part of the day – but that didn’t stop this wonderful couple from leaving the church dancing down the aisle!

People always ask you – what colour theme is it? What are using to decorate? What’s the cake like? You can get wrapped up in all these things very easily and don’t get me wrong they help make your day beautiful! But, I found that what made my day joyful was the thought we both put into the vows, the songs, the moment we would stand and commit our lives to each other. So don’t forget the ceremony! Putting care and thought into this was when I knew we would have the most joyful day.

I’m smitten with Danielle and Christian’s wedding – their entire day is beautiful: from the tiniest details (the collar on Danielle’s dress; Christian’s buttonhole) to the big stuff; I adore ALL of the portraits of the two of them, and those amazing red leaves on the building opposite their venue… what a stunning collection of memories of a beautiful homespun English wedding!

My family were amazing and helped with quite a few things which saved us a lot. My nan made the invitations, place names and cupcake cases. My aunty made the cake and cupcakes. My uncle made the cake stand. The wooden box and hearts were bought on ebay for about £25, printed games were handmade by myself and my husband. The table plan I made myself.”

I had been to a couple of bridal shops and outlets and tried on some very beautiful dresses, but when I tried my dress on my mum cried and didn’t want to take it off, it was one of the easiest decisions I had made for our wedding. The service we received in the Bridal Rooms in Atherstone made it worth the extra cost, and they recommended a seamstress to do any alterations which was just round the corner from their shop. Also wonderful!”
