Doesn’t it feel as though we’re coming out of the longest ever hibernation into the brightest, most beautiful sunlight? After the hardest year the wedding industry’s seen in decades, we’re ready for a revival and the future of weddings is exciting!

Back in March of 2020 we slashed our membership prices here at English Wedding, so we could still support all of the independent little brands which make weddings in the UK so amazing. With confidence in weddings back on a high, we’re reverting back to our original prices again from the 21st of June.

I’ve had the loveliest flurry of applications for membership of the blog this month! It’s been wonderful – I’ve almost kept up with my emails as we set up supplier pages for all of our new members. As wedding season finally looms on the horizon, I thought it would be a nice time to introduce those of you who are new here to our groundbreaking wedding blog membership platform.

How it works is simple: suppliers pay a small fee to be blog members. You can then be featured – with real weddings, styled shoots, product showcases and guest blog posts.

Welcome and congratulations to all of you who are new here! I’d like to show you one of the first places to start on English Wedding – our wonderful Directory. The English Wedding Directory is our curated list of brilliant wedding vendors. Our Insta is regularly updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!

These lovely wedding suppliers have joined the English Wedding Directory in the last couple of weeks – do take a moment to discover them, and if you like what you see why not get in touch and even book this weekend? Click on any of the photos to find out more.“english

I’m hearing from a few photographer friends that things are looking up! Couples are confident and beginning to make bookings for 2021 and 2022 weddings – and I’m proud to say we have an amazing bunch of wedding creatives in the English Wedding Directory – our curated list of brilliant wedding vendors. Our Insta is regularly updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!

I’m beginning to hear the very best of news from a few wedding photographers – that bookings for 2022 weddings are coming in. We almost have vaccines. We’re almost there… and after the toughest year EVER for our industry, I’m feeling positive that couples are going to start booking suppliers in January.

Weddings in 2021 – at least for the first half of the year – will be different. They’ll be few and far between at first. Then they’ll be more frequent but smaller – and I predict that by the height of the summer we’ll almost be back to normal. Where’s that little ‘phew’ emoji when you need him?
