As you may know, I write calligraphy for weddings when I’m not in my blogging shoes, and the last couple of weeks have been super busy with some updates to my collections.
I have had my little Etsy shop since 2013 and in that time I’ve written for hundreds of couples’ weddings. But some of my wedding stationery had been on there the whole time – yes, the whole entire seven years – and was beginning to look a little 1990s around the edges. (I might be overly critical; maths sure as hell ain’t my thing. But yeah, it looked OLD!)
Hey lovelies! Join me today for a beautiful Kent wedding – gorgeous couple Sonia & Andy tied the knot on a gloriously sunny October day, and chose our friend Terence Joseph Photography to capture their story. Sonia dazzles in a stunning Jenny Packham dress. She told us “I knew I didn’t want the traditional white dress so I thought I would be searching for a long time but I found it really quickly and it was perfect for me. A bargain (from Debenhams) too! I found earrings and an art deco style crystal headpiece by Rose Red Rose White on Etsy, and my shoes were silver high heels from New Look. Andy wore a grey suit from T.M.Lewin with burgundy tie and pocket square from Swagger & Swoon – we found their colour matching service really useful.”
Happy weekend everyone! I have a really special wedding to share with you today – our handsome couple are Samuel and Paul, whose joy on their wedding day just bursts from my screen from the very beginning! I love their smiles, their tears, the breathtaking setting of Rhinefield House and their images by lovely Katie Winter Photography.
The guys describe their wedding simply as “The most magical day of our lives.” – and it shows. They were blessed with beautiful sunshine, and the day was relaxed, elegant and romantic as can be – for me, the perfect wedding!
… because you can’t beat a llama surprise, right?! Honestly, this wedding is everything. Glowing with newly wedded happy vibes, Moran and Danny celebrate their love at Ashdown Park. Their day is magical, breathtaking, beautifully designed and brilliantly captured by our friend and English Wedding member Damion Mower Photography. Morag’s dress is exquisite, unique and different; from the fabulous Needle & Thread. The venue is oh so special – Ashdown Park is in the Ashdown forest, believed to be the inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood (home of Winnie the Pooh!) – and the converted chapel with its stained glass windows is so enchanting all Morag & Danny had to do was add flowers – which, it has to be said, are stunning!
It’s been wonderful revisiting some of the beautiful weddings we featured on English Wedding through 2019 – I hope you’ve enjoyed them too! Today’s is an absolute BEAUTY!! The flowers are out of this world, nestling amongst glass jars and candles to create a wonderfully romantic, English country garden look from daytime to dusk.
