There’s more than one reason we’re supporting the Chosen Wedding Fairs this year – of course our very own Facebook page editor Claire has taken over the running of the fair, and this has given us the wonderful opportunity to shout about it from the rooftops… but there are so many fabulously creative suppliers involved whose work we’ve featured on the English Wedding Blog before, this is pretty much our dream wedding fair!

Styled shoots – which we’ll always love to bits – are the reason so many of these guys have featured on our pages. If their name is in bold on the list below, they’ve starred on the blog, we know them by reputation and LOVE what they do!

My lovely friend Claire, our Facebook page curator and the creative spark behind this year’s Chosen Wedding Fairs, is working incredibly hard in the run up to next week’s London event. I’m absolutely thrilled for her – being involved in one of the UK’s best wedding supplier showcases is something to be so proud of – and she’s just sent me a list of the amazing exhibitors who’ll be there on the day. This is the best kind of sneak peek  – you can totally plan your day at Chosen!

Handmade is a lifestyle choice Amelia Barnes made a long time ago. The organiser of The Creative Boutique Wedding Fair studied as a fine artist, and has tried her hand at many crafts while working as an art teacher. When Amelia got married she really came to appreciate how tricky it can be to find stylish, handmade wedding pieces – and so she went out of her way to track down and source amazing suppliers to find unique wedding ideas which were truly reflective of her.

Have you ever considered a destination wedding in the UK? Gathering up your nearest and dearest and spending a weekend somewhere beautiful, idyllic and romantic? There are so many spots you could discover and get married in without having to fly / transport all your wedding bits & pieces overseas – and lovely Tyn Dwr Hall is one.

I would love to travel more, to adventure to far-flung countries like some of my photographer friends do. It makes me smile to see my calligraphy heading to Australia, Norway, Italy, the States and Japan while I write away in my little home office! But I love the land I’m lucky enough to live in, and I’d always choose a UK destination to say my vows.

I think it’s really important to remember that every independent wedding business is, in essence, a person. The designers, creatives and makers who produce your wedding bits & pieces are human beings who smile, laugh and love – and each of these unique personalities brings something wonderful to their work. Take lovely Natalie at Mock Up Designs, for example – she trained in architecture before turning her hand to a chic, elegant and playful range of wedding stationery!
