I’d marry these two myself… gorgeous Martha & Phil had the most joyful, character-filled, fun and beautiful wedding at Bruisyard. They say the LOVELIEST things about their wedding suppliers – lovely Emily Tyler Photography gets a glowing and heartfelt review from the happy couple. They’ve also recommended a huge list of Suffolk wedding suppliers from personal experience, so do check those out (at the end of the feature). Do NOT scroll too fast through all the images though, because they’re BLOODY BEAUTIFUL. What an amazing day… Martha, Phil, congratulations! We think you’re awesome!!

How did you choose your photographer?

Our photographer Emily was THE BEST. She was really friendly and warm from the get go and was always excited for us every time we spoke. She even sent us a little prep package with tea and chocolate and a booklet to answer all the questions we might have. We also decided to have a couple’s shoot a few weeks before the wedding which gave us a chance to meet Emily and get used to being photographed – definitely the right choice, we had a lot of fun and had some great photos of us to put on the tables! Emily is an amazing photographer – she captured the day and most importantly, every bit of the joy.

This week is flying by! Can you believe there are only… 13 days left before Christmas?! Eeeek!! (We have a lovely schedule of features to share over Christmas by the way – I’m super excited to hit ‘publish’ again almost EVERY day through the Christmas break!) But first – a wonderfully elegant, graceful and enchanting wedding from Glemham Hall, with stunning bride Aimee and her handsome husband James! The happy pair were married in October, and describe their day as “Rustic, romantic, Autumnal, Scottish, elegant, with a grand staircase. Perfect.” That’s pretty much the loveliest wedding-in-a-nutshell description I’ve ever read! Images are by our wonderful friend Ayshea Goldberg Photography, and I hope you enjoy today’s real wedding as much as I do. Have a fabulous day!

“Our wedding had a rustic with blush, burgundy and ivory colour theme. The overall look was autumnal, but with a Scottish flair.

Happy Sunday, lovelies! I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend – and staying toasty warm, wherever you are! Today we have a pretty wedding from Woodhall Manor in Suffolk. Bride Cara looks beautiful in a sleeveless, lace embroidered dress by Ronald Joyce. Handsome hubby Chris and their nearest and dearest kept it quiet that they’d arranged for Cara’s horse Nero to be brought to the venue on the day, as she’d always dreamed of having him there on her wedding day! The photos, needless to say, are just wonderful. They’re by our lovely friend and English Wedding member Ayshea Goldberg Photography.

I met Ayshea at a wedding fayre and loved the natural relaxed feel of the photos she had taken so I made an appointment with Chris to meet at her gallery to discuss what we wanted and he instantly fell in love with her images too

So today’s wedding… it’s just gorgeous, with so many elegant DIY styling touches. Jen & Mick got married on 28th July 2018 at the Granary Estates in Woodditton. Jen was a really chilled bride and the wedding was really relaxed and full of smiles all day. Jen’s Jenny Packham dress suits her perfectly – she’s absolutely stunning, don’t you think? And Mick looks fabulous in a Ted Baker suit with a coral and ivory buttonhole to match Jen’s gorgeous bouquet! Images are by lovely Sally at Rose Images, and the venue is The Granary Estates. Flowers are by Clare Jones Floral Design.

Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m sharing a lovely wedding with an important message from beautiful bride Danelle. This gorgeous couple married at Helmingham Hall Gardens at the beginning of autumn, and their day is everything they could have dreamed of: with pretty and romantic styling touches, a stunning dress, pretty bridesmaids and a venue to die for! The pictures by our lovely friend and English Wedding member Ayshea Goldberg capture the key moments and details beautifully – and I love how blissfully happy these two look when they’re together!

Something I rarely hear about – and I actually wish we were able to talk about this more on wedding blogs – is anxiety. The build up to a wedding is huge, and Danelle has very bravely shared her experience of feeling overwhelmed with anxiety on the big day. I’m sure she’s not alone in feeling this way, and I would urge you to look for help if your own feelings of anxiety are clouding your wedding journey. There’s a lovely article on Ayshea Goldberg’s blog about dealing with anxiety on your wedding day. Danelle – you are beautiful and brave, and we’re so grateful to you for sharing your gorgeous day on English Wedding today!

I am totally in denial of any gales blowing a hoolie outside my window right now!! Come and join me because it’s SPRING here on English Wedding and we’re filling our eyes with sunshine and flowers… and the stunning wedding of Milly and Nick. They married at Little Glemham Church in Suffolk, and celebrated with a beautiful reception at  Glemham Hall in May. Their day was traditional and relaxed, with wild white English flowers and luscious greenery in keeping with the Suffolk hedgerows and pebble greys as they were so close to the sea!

I very nearly went for a wedding dress that was entirely different, the first dress had pockets so instantly I loved it but when I went to try it on a second time with a view to putting down the deposit it was 30 degrees outside and I was so uncomfortable, all I wanted to do was get out of it!

Let’s relax into Wednesday lunchtime with a beautiful English wedding, shall we? Hattie and Max tied the knot at Helmingham Hall in Suffolk on a beautiful July day. Helmingham itself is a breathtaking venue – and one we’ve never featured on the blog before today! It’s a magnificent Tudor hall with an actual moat, in the grounds of a 400 acre deer park – what more could you possibly want?

I love the lightness of Heidi and Shaun’s pretty Glemham Hall wedding. Their flowers are deliciously pretty daisies with peonies and roses – and they fill my heart with summer vibes! Glemham Hall is one of Suffolk’s most beautiful venues: a 16th century family home surrounded by 300 acres of countryside and with its own 170-capacity marquee which is perfect for elegant weddings. Our beautiful bride tells us a little more about the day:

Our suppliers were mostly local. Karen Lear Florist, Tonia Edwards Cakes, My big Fat wedding disco, Blue daffodil events catering, Ayshea Goldberg Photography, Galley Slaves ice cream bikes. Our wedding stationery was provided by Andrew at Vintage Designs. Andrew provided a very personalised service and was extremely helpful.

I had a natural looking bouquet, with peonies, roses and other garden flowers from Karen Lear Flowers. The colours were pale pinks, whites and lilacs. Flower girls had gypsophila crowns and a small bouquet of mini daisies.

Today’s gorgeous couple Hannah and Tom had plans for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Sibton Park… and the sun shone until the very last minute, when it poured. Not to be outdone, they brought everything inside and had a cosy, magical ceremony and celebration indoors. I love the smiles, the laughter, the ‘we’re all in this together‘ spirit of the day, and I simply had to share this wedding with you.

“Our venue wasn’t a wedding venue. It is a country house that you hire to stay in. We just hosted a wedding while we were staying there. This meant I had to arrange getting EVERYTHING for the wedding in so all decorating was done by us. It did mean that it was unique to us and we were able to choose just what we wanted. Sibton Park had had a handful of weddings there before us and the house staff were incredibly helpful. They have since become a bit more of a “wedding venue”.”

The style of Chell and Ben’s wedding is wonderful: this is a themed wedding done beautifully, and it’s a joy to scroll through their images! When this wonderfully sparkly, gold, glamorous wedding landed in my inbox I knew you’d adore every detail…

Oh my god I was obsessed with my wedding dress! We knew the theme we wanted almost straight away; Great Gatsby Glamour. I went online to search for 1920s style dresses and instantly fell in love with the Jenny Packham Eden dress in Platinum. It had 1920’s decadence but with a bridal twist. Effortlessly stylish and beautiful without being over the top. The detailing of all the sequins and beading made it stand out above all other dresses. I am still totally in love with it now and am always looking for 1920s events I can use as an excuse to wear it again. I’m even contemplating bringing it on our honeymoon to the Maldives so I can get some more beautiful photographs in it!

Today’s wedding is stunning… full of sparkles, the most amazing flowers and luscious greenery – and with a gorgeous, smiley bride and groom whose style I LOVE!!! This is such amazing inspo for an autumn or winter wedding, with soft colour tones and thrilling textures to the flowers and leaves which set the scene for the whole day. I adore the venue with those fabulous beams…

My wedding flowers were based around anemones. The foliage was very silver, using eucalyptus. The flowers were grey and deep blue. I wanted the bouquets and centre pieces to be unstructured and informal. They’re by Sarah from Bramble & Berry Www.brambleandberry.co.uk

I didn’t do a lot to the venue as it was very clean and crisp with large chandeliers and modern lighting. I brought in sequin table cloths and we put fairy lights up on the back wall. And I had L O V E letter custom made for us by my friend who is a woodworker.

I LOVE today’s real wedding! It’s soooo pretty… all the delicate pinks and the fabulous venue work together beautifully. And Alex & Gareth are just gorgeous! It’s just perfect, in every detail. If you’re looking for the prettiest feminine wedding style inspiration, you’ll love this!

For flowers we used Myrtle and Mint. They were absolutely amazing! Charlotte was there to answer I had any questions I had, or me changing my mind on things, right up until the wedding. When the flowers arrived, they were more beautiful than what I had expected. I was blown away. I would recommend them highly.

Our venue was absolutely beautiful in its own right, so it didn’t need much decoration. However, we wanted to make sure we put our own stamp on our day and get our personalities across. We made a giant ‘guest book’ with every guest’s photo printed, that they could sign and write a message to us on. We wanted to do something a little different to the traditional guest book and we loved the idea of our guests coming across old or funny photos of themselves and it being a talking point.
